I had a terrible experience coming to this post office for our passport application.
Being that our hometown doesn’t do passports we had to come to Ridgefield Park. We came in during walk in hours the first day, hoping we would have a smooth experience. However, once we walked in, the man at the front desk had zero idea on what we were talking about. He was acting like he didn’t even know they did passports here! Finally we find out, no agent, she left early. Great. Then we made an appointment for the following day. The USPS advised to come 15 minutes early, so we did. Three passport applications filling the rest of the slots for the end of the day. No other appointments. So, we arrived early and organized. The lady, Gladys (sorry GLADIS as per the many negative reviews) was sitting down in the back behind the same man from last time. He looked back at her, I guess she must’ve been eating which resulted in a “It’s not 2:15 yet!” Okay… a bit rude. Whatever, we sit and wait. Finally, she stands up in a huff to take care of us, slapping papers around, snapping that we weren’t fast enough. As my father was getting his reading glasses out she snapped, and I quote “isn’t somebody gonna fill this out?!” So I grabbed it and scribbled down the information. Passports being such an important thing (even having to swear an oath at the end) was being rushed to the point of slop. Then we had an issue with the debit card that resulted in her terrible attitude until we pulled a different one to swipe. 506 dollars being sent to the GOVERNMENT and she’s rushing our debit card out like we owed money at a casino! Our entire day was ruined after this, not sure what the issue was since we had an appointment that was supposed to have a designated 15 minutes each as per USPS. Sloppy, rude, and honestly I feel like these FEDERAL EMPLOYEES mind you… have no idea what they are doing. If anything, simply not nice people. Unprofessional.

I don’t get all the hate. When I came in it was completely empty. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment and missing documents. The lady who was doing my passport allowed me to go home and get the missing documents i didn’t bring in. Super kind and chill as well

I went to this post office today to send very important documents to Certified Mail, but the staff in charge of the window kindly explained them with a smiling face, so I was able to send them well without making mistakes.
He also explained very well about other postal tasks other than sending mail today.

I recently visited the Ridgefield Park Post Office to renew my passport and was extremely disappointed with the service I received from a Hispanic female morning passport agent. Her demeanor was cold and unfriendly, making the entire process uncomfortable. As a resident of the community, I expected a level of professionalism and courtesy, which was sorely lacking. During the interaction, I felt my questions were dismissed without concern, and there was a lack of customer service. It seemed as though she was uninterested in providing help or guidance and instead displayed an attitude that was unnecessarily rude.
This experience made me feel undervalued as a community member. I hope the post office addresses these issues to ensure a more pleasant and respectful experience for everyone in the future.
In order to avoid this rude woman, I now use the
Teaneck post office. Their service is IMPECCABLE!

Honestly, I don’t even want to give 1 star because of their attitude towards people; they don’t know how to work with the people who come to them.

Everyone is very nice and professional in this post office. I never had any problem. My usual mail carrier is a very professional and kind person.

Jayshree has the worst customer service. Will never visit this location again because of my 2 bad interactions with her.

Very rude. Don’t help at all and just deny everything. I can’t bring more than 3 packages. The gentleman is nice but the woman are completely unhelpful

This is a great post office. So glad they are close by, because my local post office location is hardly ever open. It's definitely worth the 2 - 3 minutes of extra driving to go to a location that is actually competent. Highly recommend their passport services as well!

Gladis was the rudest person with the worst attitude I have ever dealt with. Avoid this place, at least her.

Flat out refused to process my emergency lost passport renewal form as required by law. Said it wasn’t something they do. This is compounded by the fact that the USPS lost my passport.
