“I have been to this store on multiple occasions over the years and am generally OK with the services received. Today was the exception. Some amateur comedian was at the desk and clowned around with me while I was there to pick up an online order placed last night. At after 1000 a.m., the order was not ready; the web site indicated the order was going to be available two hours after opening (0700 a.m.). I indicated I had not received an email indicating the order was complete when asked -- and then he looked it up and discovered they had an order that was not yet processed. Three people were at the front desk and no one was doing anything substantial other than talking when I arrived, so no one was paying attention to business. So, while another individual made up my order, the comedian tried again to joke with me about the paint color chosen. I corrected him and he said he was just joking around. I didn't react at all, but didn't indicate I was amused either. I remained polite and was very quiet as I received my receipt and paint cans and left. Be prepared for a wait, if they are busy, not to have your order ready if placed online. My wait wasn't very long, but if that had been the excuse they provided me had I asked why I had to wait or why my order wasn't done earlier, I might have had a funny retort for them. But I wasn't amused by the scenario. Very unprofessional and not what I expect at a retail store.”

Almost importantly, she helped me to make sure my colors flowed throughout the house.She helped match coordinating colors for accent walls, trim, and doors and knew everything line of paint she carried like the back of her hand. She took the time to explain the benefits of each type and made sure that the paint fit our lifestyle — with a toddler and dog.Kate is not only an incredibly knowledgeable manager but she is also genuinely kind and friendly. She truly cares about you and your project and makes you feel so comfortable.I can’t thank her enough for everything she did to make this process an easy and fun one.I highly recommend Kate and the Paramus Sherwin Williams store beyond words. I am truly grateful for her help and kindness.”

“Nice place and it’s been around a long time. I try to patronize them and avoid big box stores but the last few times I’ve gone in they were out of very basic supplies. And the staff looked at me as if I had two heads when I asked where to find them. I know they can’t have everything but 1) silicone spray, 2) a hook to hold back a door, 3) screen repair material?”

They clearly were not just trying to make money and had a lot of experience. One of them told me that it's third-generation owned and operated and you can tell. There's no way I could have done this project by going to a place like Home Depot, where the staff can't help, the lines for paint take forever, and the prices aren't that much different.
