I have never before or since found one that slapped that hard - could not believe those out-of-the-warming-pot meatballs and fresh sliced prov could make that magic but it did.Also tried my friend’s sandwich which was the Italian (as advertised, a true classic - hard to find them like that anywhere but the old delis now) but I was so lost in the sauce of the meatballs that it didn’t matter.Also, the guy behind the counter? “I would never think to buy fresh chicken or fish at TJ. Recently I've been doing just that. Their fresh chicken is beautiful, clean, no feathers or hairs and no bloody bones. We buy the wings, boneless skinless thighs and bone in thighs, all excellent. The farm raised salmon at $9.99 a pound is a bargain and beautiful. No scales and thick cut. Trust me you won't go wrong. While you're there pick up some dunkers, great cookies.”

“Having watched Feed Phil on netflix, we wanted to give this place a whirlas we were traveling through Philly and it is definitely worth the stop. Food was fantastic with many unique options. The only difficulty we found was determining where the parking is located in reference to the restaurant; especially with being from out of town ( i highly suggest a map or an actual address to put into gps).”

I go there because they have what’s called naked lunch it’s organic vegetarian as well and then they have other things that I can’t get at Whole Foods there as well. “I've been going to Olde City Food Market for some years now to order hoagies and sandwiches (as well as picked up some groceries here and there) and the staff has always been friendly and welcoming. There's always someone at the register that greets you when you walk in the store. The hoagies and sandwiches are always absolutely delicious. The lunch meat is always fresh, the bread is never stale or hard, and you can tell they are prepared with care. Olde City Food Market is definitely one of my favorite places to grab a hoagie when I am downtown. I highly recommend!”
“I love this place. I love their meat. Great team of guys they have there. Mohammad also runs the pharmacy so he's not there any more buts he's a great guys who will work with you. Sam is great too. Well I think that's his name. But the ladies kind of such at the front but they aren't there all like that. I usually pick this store over the Spanish store next door. Great especially for wic customers. Iykyk. Anyway great store and people. Oh plus you can get the essential oils at the front with Stamps and if you know that's great because they have black castor oil and sometimes even regular castor oil. Just ask them if not currently in stock they'll get it. They also sell jewelry in the same shop but you must ask.”
“My favorite store, quality products, low prices. Ice cream is just fire! Always fresh products. I like. The downside is that there is always a queue at the checkout since there is only one cash register. They rarely open two, and there are still queues.”

“This place rocked on lunches for when we were fixing up our new home, I guess you can say I'm a regular now. Coffee is the best corner store coffee I ever had. I have a coffee pot, but I prefer theirs. Snacks are always fresh, never stale, and lunch meat is awesome. Great prices, very clean place, great people that welcome you in, and they have my favorite coconut mexico popsicles that are fairly priced considering. Great place. I'm not crazy about their ATM machine though. I havnt been able to figure out how to bypass the balance check, and unfortunately I get charged a fee for that, plus withdrawal. Comes out to be $7 to take money out from that atm. Just make sure you go with cash. Other then that, the place is great!!”
