“I spent the night on site for a 6 am delivery appointment. I was out at 7:15 am. Our company is a freight touch free Carrier, but this delivery was actually not bad as far as a recommended physical exercise for truck drivers that are mostly too lazy to move around in order to keep a good health. Back in 2017-2018 when I used to drive as an Owner Operator for one of these “Russian Companies” in Chicago, I ended up unloading a fully loaded trailer by myself, However I was also compensated for it ($400.00). The real challenge was potential back pain to deal with afterwards. This mattress warehouse actually has their employees going inside the trailer with giant push furniture carts and loaded them along with the driver’s help. I’d be a liar to claim that I’ll never return to that place again for deliveries. Receiving office is located near door 76. They open at 6am, lots and lots of space to do backing maneuvers.”
“Good staff. Slow load 2-3 hours but they have a sign to let you know ahead of time.
Floor loaded tires. From experience these always take a while anyway.
Would haul for again!”
