“The hotel is nice, clean, staff friendly. The beds are comfortable however the are beginning to be worn, still comfortable. Good hot breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage, assorted cereal, oatmeal, pastries, muffins. Coffee, tea, assorted juice, yogurt and apples.
This hotel is located neer I80 so you can hear the traffic, as you would but not bad.
Great location about 20 mins. From met life stadium. About the same to liberty marina of you are planing on going to NY City via ferry.
I would stay here again”

“I had a wonderful 4-night stay earlier this month. The staff was very friendly and offered a delicious welcome cookie upon my arrival. I stayed in the “cozy” room with a queen size bed. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a nice shower with good water pressure. I felt very safe in this quiet, lovely hotel. I would definitely recommend this place and loved the location for its easy walking proximity to the museums I wanted to see.”

“We loved this hotel. The service was excellent. They were beyond helpful, kind and friendly through our whole stay. The location is calm and upscale. The Fine Hotels and Resorts benefits with American Express are great. Our room definitely needed some upgrades. It showed a lot of wear from the years. However, the room was still very comfortable but lost in its sense of luxury due to the wear. It was kind of a bummer but wouldn’t deter me from staying there again. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again!”

“Harlem Flophouse offers a uniquely stylish stay that feels both personal and inventive. The accommodation is unlike any other - each corner thoughtfully curated , blending comfort with character and style.

The location is unbeatable, steps away from the energy, culture and rhythm of Harlem. Perfect for those looking to experience the neighbourhood from a fresh, authentic perspective.”

“Only had breakfast from outside, did not stay in the hotel. This is really upscale clean neat hotel in Upper East side. I really like the restaurant service and attention to detail.

Food and drinks: Nice breakfast, clean service, very attentive staff”

“Perhaps my expectations were too high but I was left feeling disappointed by my experience. My room had a dirty towel, no soap at the sink, and the room key from the prior occupant was left behind. There was also an odd high pitched hum in the room that went in and out day and night. Overall, the hotel is nice and the room is nice, but the little things were off.”

“Well located, good service, be careful, they do not have a stove in the room but they do have a microwave, refrigerator and what is necessary to say a small kitchen without a kitchen ?. If you have the opportunity go, it is a very good hotel”

“I stayed at the New York Hilton Midtown for two nights and had a good overall experience. Check-in was friendly, and staff were helpful when I asked to change rooms so I could have a bathtub. Housekeeping was attentive, and the restaurant staff were thoughtful, even offering bottled water without me asking. I appreciated the service and small touches that made the stay comfortable.”

“My wife and I visited The Lowell Hotel in Upper East Manhattan to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary, and the Lily of the Valley Afternoon Tea, a collaboration between The Lowell and Dior Maison by the Majorelle team, was truly unforgettable.

We’ve experienced several popular afternoon teas in the city, but this one stood out in every way. The presentation, food, and tea were all exquisite, and the floral arrangements were absolutely stunning—fitting, since my wife is a florist and a longtime admirer of Dior.

What truly set this experience apart was the hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and cared for. Jessica, the hostess, went above and beyond by graciously accommodating a last-minute change to our reservation and later stopping by our table to make sure everything was perfect. We had a lovely chat with her about how genuine hospitality can elevate an experience, and this afternoon was the perfect example of that. Fabio, our server, was also wonderful—attentive, kind, and professional throughout.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. It was elegant, intimate, and deeply memorable—an afternoon that beautifully blended art, floristry, and timeless luxury. I’m so glad we chose to celebrate here.”

“The warmth and dedication of the staff truly make this place special. Linabel, in particular, made our stay unforgettable with her kindness, genuine care, and constant willingness to help. She made us feel welcomed and valued every single day. Experiences like this are the reason we keep coming back and will always recommend this hotel to others.”

“We had a work event here and it was fantastic. Plenty of space and the atmosphere was immaculate. The mirrors in the room were a great touch and the veiw of central park was great. The food was amazing I could go on and on about the sliders or crab cakes, OR the perfect Tuna tartar. But the bottom line is clearly the food was well crafted and the flavor profiles were well conceived and executed. All of the staff were great, professional and polite. But a big shout out to Bridget who was wonderful and handled tending for a room full of attorneys with amazing candor and grace.”

“Hotel has a “home” feeling. Staff is very nice, customer service is great. Especially Juliet who can be found smiling and greeting everyone. Would definitely recommend for a trip, short or long te. Hotel also offers free breakfast which is a plus.”

“Very Clean room and bathroom. Roomy stand up shower. In room with king size bed there was a fridge and microwave in addition to small amenities like coffee maker and blow dryer. There’s a pull out desk area with plenty of light and electrical outlets. WiFi is free and works well. Check in and check out were very easy with friendly staff. It is a little noisy from outside at night but not bad, if you’re really sensitive bring ear plugs and it’ll be fine. Plenty parking free and available in the parking garage attached to building. Hotel itself is a little hard to notice at first but it’s in a convenient location to get to nyc and only 5 minute drive to the meadowlands expo center. Over all, good value for price.

Rooms: Includes fridge and microwave”

“Best staff we've ever experienced. Sha gave me his personal charger when I was in a bind. The night crew on Oct 5th ran around the hotel to find us amenities, and carried furniture outside to accommodate our late night hang out. Chatting it up with them helped us understand how genuine they are. I'll always stay here.

Rooms: Fix wireless charger, keycards, include utensils in room.”

“Its perfectly located, two blocks for central park, subway and 50 locations to eat.
I feel that Newyorkers at this time around they dont really care, no cordiality. For something with tips were included, we didnt enjoy the experience. (Elevators are really slow)”

“This hotel definitely not on the luxury end of things, but unlike many of the other reviewers, I found our overnight stay here to be pleasant. The lobby is beautiful with this giant fish tank column. Outside f the front check in , there was plenty of seating in case you want to chill or wait for members of your group. There's also a concierge desk. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready, but we were told we could leave our luggage there until we checked in. They take your luggage and give you ticket to retrieve it later. Mike was at the front desk and he was so friendly and courteous and has a wealth of knowledge about New York and what's going on. He actually upgraded us to king size bed, which we appreciated. I asked him about the complimentary breakfast and he gave us to guest passes to Serafina Italian restaurant. If you want breakfast ask when you check in. You will not automatically be given these cards. Serafina sits on the corner adjacent to the hotel. There's a door connecting the hotel to restaurant so you don't have to go outside. Serafina is also where you would go to use the bathroom if can't check in or you don't want to go upstairs to your room. We were only a few blocks from the theater district and where our play was going to be playing which was nice 10 walk. Once we returned, our keys were waiting for us and our luggage was bought to us. The elevators are probably the most narrow and small elevators I have ever seen. In order to go to you floor you must scan you key card or you will not gain admission to your floor. Our key card was for the 5th floor and it would not allow us to press 8 for another guest. I guess this is a safety percussion that I appreciate. The room size was small in comparison to other hotel rooms we've stayed in outside of NYC, but it was adequate for our needs and it was clean. I always bring my own cleaning supplies and I am happy to say no grime was detected:) The room comes with a mini fridge and robes to use during your stay. Don't take the robes home as a souvenir unless you want to be charged. SN: The concierge was a great resource. We wanted to go to a restaurant in Queens on the subway and he told us how to get there and the subway was less than a block away from the hotel. The train he planned our trip would have taken us really close to the restaurant, but because of construction he suggested a stop in Queens that would get us close and then we could take a Lyft. This worked perfectly and got us to the restaurant and back in less than an hour. Would I stay at the Dream again? Yes! The service took it over what is just average accommodations.”

“Nice, clean hotel. $15 parking per night. Fee for breakfast unless you book a reservation with it included. Breakfast usually includes bread/bagels, oatmeal, fruits, cereals, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, ham strips, seasoned country potatoes, mini quiche with cheese/ham/onions and alternating days of either pancakes or french toast sticks. Sometimes bacon or sausage may show up. A little noisy thanks to trucks using their air brakes as they approach the GW bridge.”

“Budget friendly and close to Manhattan (it's the first bus stop out of the Lincoln Tunnel). The bathrooms are shared, so bring shower shoes. Window AC units work great. This is optimal for solo travelers because it is a good value and close to where you want to be. All the locks are electronic combination doors, so keep your phone with you just in case you need to call or look up a message from mgmt. Might stay again under right circumstances.”

“I stayed in the The Surrey for a few days when visiting family. Among the 5 star hotels in the area (I have stayed at The Mark and The Carlyle), The Surrey is my favorite. The rooms are beautiful and the bathrooms luxurious. Everything is new and modern, and very tastefully designed. My room was very clean. The restaurant is another gem, with delicious breakfast (I recommend the scrambled egg and avocado toast) and lunch/dinner options. Highly recommend.”

“Clean, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. We like that we were staying in an area that was not too crowded or touristy. Not much going on, except for the large hospital around the corner. Many good restaurants on ninth Ave., five minutes from the hotel. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, recently refreshed, not much of a view, but worked perfect. Walking distance to Columbus Circle and Subway, Central Park and 5th Ave”

“Despite being a simple hotel with very small rooms, it is clean, quiet and located in a super quiet, very residential area, very close to the subway and Central Park. Great option for those who want to save money on their stay and prefer to sleep away from the hustle and bustle.

Rooms: The rooms are very small, suitcases had to be left under the bed. But they are clean, the bed is good and the bathroom is also very clean.

Safety: We walked through the nearby streets and the area seemed super safe.

Walkability: 3 minutes to the subway, but pay attention to the lines because depending on where you want to go you have to cross to the other side of the avenue. Central park is less than 10 minutes walk away.

Noteworthy details: Metro station very close by. Easy movement throughout the city.”

“The hotel is nice and clean. We ate dinner in the attached restaurant. Food was great. Our waiter, Mateo, was especially friendly and very helpful with advice for navigating public transit into NYC. The location made it easy to get into the city. It was a short ~$8 Uber ride to a bus stop where we could board a bus straight into the city and drops you off at the Port Authority near Times Square. It was less expensive than taking the train from the Path station in Hoboken. The only issues we observed were 1) you can’t stop water from coming out from under the shower door and spilling water onto the floor. Plus they don’t give you a towel/bath mat to put on the floor outside the shower. Be very careful stepping out of the shower to not slip on the water on the floor. 2) the hallway is extremely warm compared to the rest of the hotel. 3) They have coffee and coffee makers in the room. They only offer regular coffee for the maker. Being someone that can only drink decaf coffee it was a little disappointing. But, they do have regular and decaf coffee available in the lobby. All in all we would definitely stay here again.”

“I just had trouble with the pillows, which were not comfortable, and saw a small stain on a towel. Other than that, everything satisfied me greatly. The location is very good, and the personnel were very friendly and helpful. I am especially grateful to Joel, who carried my two big suitcases by himself to ensure - didn't miss the car to the airport.”

“Outstanding hotel near Teterboro airport. Everything was pristine and well manicured. Breakfast was great, rooms were awesome, and good white noise on account of all the traffic going into TEB and LGA, etc. Easiest 5 stars ever.”
