“I went in to sell some gold scrap and had a fantastic experience. Mike was incredibly honest and professional; right off the bat, he offered me an excellent payout without me even having to ask for a price first. It’s rare to find that kind of transparency. Highly recommend asking for Mike if you want a fair deal! Only place I’ll go in the future.”
“Have done business with quite a few places and went to them after seeing them on Instagram. Have to say, VERY FAIR, very realistic and honest. If you have authentic legitimate goods and you know the market, this is the best place and best way to go. Consignment and the major resale places are not netting you more money or they are luring you with the promise of more. If you have some EBay fantasy this is not your place, know what you have and know the actual wholesale resale market. This is quick, legit and fair, and that unfortunately is not all that common. This is most likely the new business model as nobody wants to wait 3 months or get less than they were told. Happy we did business with them and we would do it again.”
“I always find something special when I come here!! Truly lovely, curated selection of good quality clothes (really love the diverse sizing) and home ware. Staff is very kind and helpful.”
“Shopped here with my vintage clothes loving daughter. She had quite a bit of luck! The store is small but they seemed to have a good selection of things crammed in there. They do have a dressing room. The staff was friendly. We had a fun time here!”
“I went here a couple times, and the staff had always been extremely sweet. They always have unique pieces that go well with everyday wear. I absolutely love this store and all the vibes. It is also VERY affordable, an absolute gem. Will definitely come back every chance I get!!”
“Great thrift shop with premium and luxury brand clothing in decent condition. Would definitely come back again.
Store doesn’t have parking for itself, so you’ll have to do street parking or pay for the lot around the corner.
Found brands in the men’s section such as Rhude, Barneys New York, Cos, Levi’s, North Face, Carhartt, Theory.
Fitting room situation was not ideal. I had to get an employee and wait like 5 minutes for to be let in. There’s a door marked “Employee’s Only” that leads to a room with curtains on 2 sides. It’s kinda janky, but it is a fitting room!”
“We only had a couple minutes, but this place is so well curated that it didn't matter! Scored a fantastic Isaac Mizrahi coat for my son and a sweet black United Colors of Benetton sweatshirt just as they were closing!”
“I got my favorite pair of boots here two years ago, and so I of course had to return for another (tis the season)! The curation is superb, well-priced, well-varied, with a broad selection of vintage pieces from all eras! I always try to stop by when I'm in the neighborhood, but sometimes they close before their listed hours!
Edie is a sweetheart! She helped me in my search for a new pair of boots, encouraging me to collect all the pairs in the store that caught my eye. She even offered insoles as I tried them on, and insisted I take my time walking around in each pair. Edie offered invaluable, honest feedback when I expressed my long-time desperation for a new pair (the pair I adored were a tad too big). I felt seen and understood by her advice! I can't wait to come back - I trust Edie and her partner's curation and collection more than I do any other boutique in the city.”
“Such a joyful experience, in stark contrast to the usual experience of trying on pants, especially vintage denim. Ended up with my holy grail denim and comfortable stan rays, which had evaded me until now.”
“I recently visited this fantastic clothing store, and I was truly impressed! The selection of authentic designer items sourced from overseas is remarkable, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable.
The customer service is exceptional; the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. Shopping here was a wonderful experience, and I left with beautiful pieces that I know are genuine. I highly recommend this gem for anyone who loves fashion!”
“I’ve been coming into the City for seven years to shop at Jane’s Exchange for my grandkids. It’s a woman owned, family run business with a cozy and cheerful vibe. I always manage to find good quality, reasonably priced items the kids really enjoy wearing. I’ll be sad when they outgrow the sizes the store carries, but until then it is my go-to location for their casual to formal outfits.”
“Wry cool little store. Reminds me of old school places like loves saves the day or some of the shops in Tokyo. Definitely go here and buy some shit. You’ll find something for sure and at a good price!”
“Another Man's Treasure is my go-to for unique vintage finds! I’ve bought a few beautiful sundresses here, and just recently found an amazing Italian silk jacket. The quality is always great, and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend for anyone who loves vintage clothes!”
“I was looking for an original vintage license plate and I found a man who sold them. He was really nice and explained us the story of the license plates.
If you want a license plate as a souvenir make sure to visit the Bazaar.”
“I always find things that are unique, often real showstopper outfits and pieces. Love the owner and staff! So kind and welcoming. Be sure to say hi to the adorable little pug that is usually sprawled out like a queen near the back. Highly recommend! All the stars and beyond!

“10/10 experience. I’ve never shopped for clothes for myself before and had a lot of anxiety going in. Leo was super helpful, knowledgeable, kind, patient, and understanding. He’s super chill and instantly knew which clothes would fit the aesthetic I wanted to go for. If you go to this place and Leo is there, you won’t be disappointed. Trust me. Thank you Leo. Hope to see you again!”
“Hamlet had amazing customer service, and you could tell it was a cozy spot for locals and those with large wallets. That said, for more grungey dig-in-pile vintage hunters, this probably isn’t the best place to go. Prices are high- while their collection is well curated, the lowest priced clothing item I saw was around $65 (and most things were in the hundreds). Cute friendly shop- just know this is NOT a thrift store vibe.”
“I discovered this shop in the East Village and I love shopping the curated beautiful items they have. It’s now my favorite place to visit and the owner and staff are so helpful ❤️”
“This was my second time popping in the lovely Mr Owen's shop and I was pleasantly surprised to find some treasures! My fiancé and I found his tie for our wedding, a beautiful skinny silk tie of blue and white from the 1950s at a very reasonable price. We also found a second tie gem in a glorious mustard color with tiny fleur de les. Mr Owen's tie collection might be the best kept secret in the city. You have to hunt, but you will find. Mr Owen is a treasure himself and has a wonderful mix of true vintage and thrifted pieces in his shop at very reasonable prices. Take a look, you won't be disappointed with this old New York gem of a store!”
“I absolutely love this store. I recently started learning how to sew, so I decided to buy a few different blouses and dresses because I want to redesign them to my liking. However, I didn’t wanna spend a lot of money so I went to two different thrift stores in New York City and it just so happens that I came across this one and I love the store because all of the clothing is so inexpensive thank you so much and the kindness is really nice and the sore too.”
“Walked past it and had to go in. Some beautifully curated items in there. My word of advice, go to the back room and search for the hidden gems. Found a vintage coach devon bag in a beautiful color in gorgeous condition. Price was reasonable, as it is vintage luxury. The owners were so so sweet and kind, if I ever come back to New York I know the first place I’m going to.”
“Such a great vintage shop with amazing pieces and very fair prices! Owner was so sweet and attentive and took the time to help me figure out what’s my style. I really could’ve spent hours there lol. Will definitely be back soon!❤️”
“Well, for $120 my daughter and girlfriend got a black skirt, a pair of silver high heels, a fluffy red jacket, a sequined black party dress, and a red sport coat. They loved it. Like any other used clothing store you have to hunt and search.”
“In its third location, surely a lot of love has been put into this spot. Great vibes and very welcoming staff. I could tell each and every article is there for a reason and carefully put into place. Stop by and take a look around! If you don’t end up taking a cool shirt from the racks, maybe an enamel pin or incense will catch your eye.”
“If vintage were a speakeasy, James Veloria would be its secret handshake…hidden on the second floor of the most unlikely marker, yet bursting with treasures once you find your way up. Venture through a nondescript entrance, take the stairs, and suddenly you’re in a perfectly curated time capsule where every rack has a story. The selection? Archival classics that feel newly minted—each piece is as eclectic as the staff, who double as fashion muses in their mirror selfie campaigns (the kind that make you pause and think, “I need that silver Jean Paul Gaultier blazer, and maybe confidence, too”). Brands range from the big hitters to the one-of-a-kind framework—the kind of rare finds vintage hunters hype about in hushed tones, without the usual couture pretentiousness. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and chill—the kind that makes designer vintage feel like fashion’s coolest best-kept secret. The staff are genuinely stylish and more approachable than your friend who always “knows a guy” with the best thrift hookup. They’re enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and you never feel talked down to. Whether you’re a dedicated collector or just window-shopping (or scrolling their Instagram mirror-selfies to feed your weekend daydreams), James Veloria is a must-stop. A perfect blend of hidden gem and style manifesto—five stars all day.”
“Small store. Seems very cramped at times. Lots of great stuff! This is not a thrift store. This is a vintage store. Prices are reasonable for the quality. I was told that this is the go-to place for one of a kind prom dresses.”
“Unbelievable craftsmanship and even better customer service!! I ordered 8 light fixtures from Blueprint Lighting back in Feb. Two of the light fixtures were 2 weeks behind awaiting glass. I was contacted by the owner Kelly and she communicated with me the entire process until I received the last remaining light fixtures. The quality of blueprint really shows and I couldn’t be happier!”
“Found some amazing vintage clothes at a reasonable price. The place can feel a little overwhelming and get extremely packed. But it can be an explorative experience with friends to find goodies. They do charge a credit card fee, so bring cash if you don't want to pay that. They also sell bags to carry your purchase for $2, so bring your own in case you bought a haul of goodies.”
“My experience at Pippin was absolutely fantastic. Thanks to Daniela, finding the right engagement ring was far less stressful than anticipated. Her kindness and patience made the entire process truly enjoyable. Daniela’s extensive knowledge on each piece of jewelry and her attention to detail helped me find the perfect ring for my partner. Thank you!”
“Amazing thrift store with a great selection of clothes, especially plus size in both men and women sizing! wonderful owner with a great selection of items for a great price!”
