“First I'd like to say the customer service from whoever answered the phone to the many knowledgeable employees they have on the floor to always help is amazing . I went there to get keys made but wasn't coming back in the area for a week so I wa Ted confirmation if the keys didn't work was ok to come back a week later with them ? The answer was a resounding YES NOT A ISSUE !!! Well the keys were cut perfectly (5) in total . “Andrew was most helpful with a problem I had with my 3 DeWalt batteries and chargers, none of which worked, and I didn't know why. He explained that the models had been discontinued, and went to show me an adapter to purchase for my old drill. But then, he disappeared in to the back and came out with an unusable (for him) charger and battery that worked with my drill. He was so kind to let me have them! This is what makes Hometown Hardware and all the employees there so special as opposed to the big box stores! Thank you Andrew!”

“EDIT- Sergio the president of the company called me apologized for the behavior of his team and made things right. The product is a good product. The frustration of my review was directed at the inappropriate communication of the customer service, Sergio apologized and promised he would fix that.
I ordered door knobs to replace the generic doorknobs that came with the Bellidini doors. I called the rep to verify the fit and functionality and he offered up that the lead time is quite long and to expect (4 weeks). Luckily I had planned for that. It’s now been 7 weeks. I get delays, as a general contractor that happens all the time not the end of the world.
I reached out for some clarity on the situation and ETA on the product. This is where it comes into play how SKETCHY of a business Door Design Labs is:
I asked them for an ETA April 2nd. Ruslan responds and says “ he doesn’t know. He needs to check back with the manufacturer.”
I wait until the following week ask for a status update. Ruslan says “he can’t exactly say. But if I pay extra he will ship it in the next couple days and I should have it.”
It’s a classic bait and switch scam. He conveniently has the handle he’s been waiting on after asking him for ETAs. But I need to pay more to actually get it quickly. The whole operation is sketchy. Just avoid them. Avoid belldini doors too. Just go EZ Jamb doors, take my advice as a general contractor, it’s not worth saving a couple hundred bucks to work with conmen.”

“As a new homeowner, I am not very handy at all. Was not sure even sure what to do with a snowblower I was given (does this thing even work? how do I turn it on?)From the very first call, this place went above and beyond. Debbie called me at least 5 times to coordinate pickup and drop off (due to my busy travel schedule)- she was super flexible, informative, and understanding of my needs- and she left so much important detail in her messages to me. For example, I had to suddenly go into the city on the scheduled drop off date, and she found a way to get my drop off scheduled for the next day so I could be there for it- and she also coordinated with the delivery tech to make sure he stopped to show me how to actually use the machine. She did this with minimal contact with me as I was in meetings all day.The tech that picked up and dropped off the snowblower gave me extremely detailed instructions on how to use the machine as was well as tips to take care of it and avoid future issues. Either Debbie told him I had no idea what I was doing, or he could just sense it from my questions- but he did a great job of giving me dumbed down instructions without being condescending or making me feel like an idiot.My experience from my first call to payment and receipt of my machine was exceptional and painless. I was listened to, prioritized, and treated with kindness and respect. I will be using them again for any equipment needs, and recommend you do too- especially if you are intimidated by machines/equipment/are not handy.”

“I came in to see if - by a long shot - I could get a skeleton key that matched the old lock that I had removed from my door. I was helped immediately. The staff worked tirelessly at scraping off the old paint, learning the lock's mechanisms, getting it working and trying all sorts of keys. They even grinder off a bit of a key to make sure it worked. Incredible service. So patient and thoughtful. I never thought anyone would go so above and beyond for this! Loyal customer here!”
