Surprise (or not)! I've got another *ONE* star review to add to this UHaul's collection of bad reviews. We rented two trucks for our move on back-to-back days. On each day, we made sure to make note of the gas tank at the beginning of our move and on each day, we went out of our way to stop by a gas station and fill the tank back up to where the line was. And much later, we found that we were charged an $80 tank filling fee for each day ($160 total). We obviously called to argue these charges and after two days of investigation and back and forth were able to reverse one of the charges because they couldn't find documentation of any gas check occurring at all. UHaul refused to reverse the second charge because they did have a picture that showed the tank line being 1/32 of a tank lower than starting. However, we noticed that the picture had a timestamp was 2+ hours after we returned the truck. We asked them to pull video footage which showed the truck was left at check-in (i.e. left on) at the direction of another UHaul employee. Gee, I wonder if an idling engine could use up any gas? Was this enough to reverse the charge yet? Despite all logic, they devolved into repeating the same line over and over, that they could not reverse the charge and we could not speak to the manager of the location. These people are the scum of the earth, who in addition to tacking on a lofty penalty charge, literally robbed us of the extra gas that we put into the tank, as a result of their own incompetency. UHaul might be too big to go out of business, but here's to hoping this location does!

I don't appreciate getting scammed for my money u work hard and then I call in and no one can help me very upset right now everytime I use them they want to pile on extra charges this is bad business

The Manager Alex, is very fair. Although it was my fault, I left a mini-fridge in the back of the truck and he made sure that I got my item back. It couldn't be found at first but Alex, jumped in and helped us out! This is the reason we will only select this location when we need. Professional management is not easy to find these days, but the rental and experience has gained our trust and allegiance to this location.

In the beginning I didn’t have a great experience and I was about to leave “0 ? “ however and employed from this location in Saddlebrook made me change my mind at the end. Please read the whole message.I spoke to manager name “Karol”, who was a very rude employee. I don’t have her last name, however,I am pretty sure that you have a system where you can listen recorded calls and listen to her actitud and poor vocabulary being a “Manager”. Maybe see the notes on the system so you can see who I been talking to recently. It was very surprising for me to see the poor quality customer service by someone who is called “manager”. Managers should have education, go to school or take technical courses of how to deal with customers. Furthermore, She does not have an idea of what is business administration and customer services. You should hire as a manager people with great problem solving skills, people with the capacity to resolve customers complaints even when the situation is not in favor of the customer. When a customer is treated with respect and the employee uses a good tone of voice and be kind when explaining why things did not workout the way the customer wants, we understand and still consider that we have a great experience. This lady even hanged up on me which is a proof that she should not be one of the main faces of your prestige Company.In addition, I spoke to Alex, from the Saddlebrook location, who was able to make me feel more satisfied with the service. He knew how to handle the situación. He should be a big face of your company and people like that is what you need.

Came in to buy boxes, 10 customers in line , only one employee at the counter, asked if I could just buy boxes, received a rude reply, you have to wait in line, their long drawn out process for rentals would have waited 1/12 hours before I could buy the boxes, don’t waste your time here.

I've used this location 3 times, and they are always so accommodating and friendly! My first time walking in, I actually realized I went to the wrong location where I reserved the truck, but the manager, Alex, made a phone call & took care of the switch for me. The most recent reservation I made ended up being a bit of a scramble as I got the 9' cargo van based on the dimensions advertised, but I was unable to fit my specific item in the van. After being stressed and unsure of what to do, this location allowed me to switch to the 10' box truck with no problem, no change in cost, & honestly took my stress away. Thanks again, guys!

Had to rent one of these to transport our baby to Newburg for repairs. Everything went well and all the lights worked properly. Returning it was a breeze also. Just backed it in & left as they were closed.

This place is a joke. Don't even bother going there. Website said there are box trucks available for rent at this location but when I got there "general manager" told me that If I don't have reservation, she doesn't have anything available for me except for full size vans. I double checked on the website and it said it's available. I told her it says available online, so she told me even if I do it online she won't be able to rent it to me because" they are all unavailable" I guess she knows better then the website. Ended up going to another U-haul location nearby and didn't have any issues. AVOID at all cost.

I would give this place negative stars if possible. I rented a truck and an auto transporter from them. The employee asked me to put the straps to tie my car, and when we refused (we are not qualified to have the car strapped on a UHaul auto transporter) he did it himself. On the first stop we noticed the car was unstrapped. We had to make multiple stops to check our car. Very unpleasant situation, scary, unsafe. When we went to drop the auto transporter on a different location where they (UHaul staff) also informed us that the chain was supposed to be connected with our car as an extra security measure. This guy risked our life and the life of people who drove close to us. We were lucky that we weren’t involved in a nasty accident. I did get a refund for the auto transporter, but only after I kept calling and reaching out to U-Haul HQ. If you use this location make sure your car is strapped and chain is connected to your car. I used UHaul before and I have been happy with them in the past, but this was a very bad experience and I hope they are taking measures not to happen again.

Horrible experience every time. This is my last time renting. Corporate should be ashamed of this place, the equipment and people that work here. I hope someone is listening because they need some competition. They have the market cornered maybe when their sales start dropping they will wake up.
