“The milkshake and hot chocolate were simply fabulous. The pizza was alright. The kids food package isn't really worth it but used it cause it was free when I went.”
“Genevieve's don't only have the best chocolates, but coming here brings back wonderful childhood memories. My dad always got me and my sister huge chocolate bunny's when we were growing up.She would get the milk chocolate, I would get the white chocolate.Genevieves has become a family tradition. I no longer live in Garfield, but every year I go down there just to get the best chocolate for my my niece and nephews (and of course a little treat for myself ?).”

“I looked for an excellent piñateria in many places on Passeic and this store was my choice. The owner's service was excellent and the prices on the sweets were very good. I recommend them for your events.”
“Visiting the lively candy destination in the city is a delightful experience worth having. It’s perfect for all ages, offering a chance to create personalized treats and enjoy eye-catching displays. The playful atmosphere makes it a fun break from the usual sights. Overall, it’s a unique stop that adds a touch of sweetness to any day out.”
“This tiny neighborhood shop is an awesome mix of inventive chocolates and candies handmade by the friendly owner himself, retro candies from your childhood, and funky rarer flavors of brand favorites. We turn into drooling children every time we go.”
“Went in for some chocolate strawberries as a treat this valentine’s day. The girls are so sweet and helpful. Amazing customer service. Even with a long line it didn’t take too long for it to get moving! The girls said it would be a wait for the berries and it take way less time than anticipated. So glad i came here & will definitely be coming back. Delicious berries and kind staff 10/10”

“Heard about LST from my sister and it definitely lives up to the hype. I’m stocking up to bring some home to my partner in California and everything from the taste to the set up is well done. Allison helped me today and she was kind, sweet, and helpful with all my questions. My favorite strawberry marshmallow is a fan favorite so they were out today but Allison informed me I could order on the website as well. Thank you!”
“Biggie's is great! The owners are super lovely and run it themselves. Their dog, Biggie, is super cute. Often there's people playing chess outside- it's pretty rad.
Inside is a vintage lovers paradise, or more specifically, a vintage smokers dream. They specialize in refurbishing old lighters, ash trays, and smoking sets. Trust me, they're awesome. If you're not a smoker, they have old magazines, game sets, and old-style soda. If you'd like to become a smoker but are scared, they have candy cigarettes. Sick!
Anyway, I like to pop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. You should pop in, too.”
“Wonderful place to buy all kinds of special coffee. The service was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and patiently helped us decide which coffee to buy. We're definitely coming back for more.”
“While we didn't make a purchase during our visit, we had a wonderful time exploring the store. It was my son's first trip to New York, and he was absolutely delighted by the wide variety of candies.
Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid-friendly.”
“All I can say is WOW! Absolutely phenomenal this store is beautiful & inviting on all levels.
The sales associate (TARA) she was incredible & her expertise & her welcoming nature. It was my very first time visiting the store on Saturday March 15th in the evening around 6ish. The crowd was busy but (TARA) made everyone feel so welcome even when she was busy she kept her composure & with a great beautiful smile on her face she took care of everyone there. I can talk on & on about this fantastic place & the customer service is top tier.
I will absolutely return back!!
Thank you Tara for making my experience Wonderful!!”
“As part of the expansive American Dream mall known for its size, store variety, and event attractions, IT'SUGAR is one of the site's most memorable and fun offerings. With enough candy on shelves to feed an entire city's worth of children on Halloween night, the store's immense variety of candy and all things sweets is heavily stocked across multiple levels. Here, candies of all types, including international and vintage ones, await for eager sugar enthusiasts. As to be expected from a more event-centered storefront, pricing is more toward the expensive end.”
“Great local deli/convenience store. Has pretty much all you need (toiletries, food, random household stuff) plus the guys are friendly and welcoming!
Only thing I’d change is a better snack selection, but I mostly come here for food so it’s no big deal.”
“The mini cakes (Viennese box) were incredibly delicious and made a show stopper presentation as a star of our garden party! (Many asked where from...) we also enjoyed the box of dairy fancy chocolates...each one was so tasty and magnificent. Highly recommended! Great customer service.”
“10/10 staff is as sweet as the chocolate! There’s so many choices for the Lindt lindor chocolate balls (probably not the right name haha) and so many gift boxes!!! I believe we were helped by Zina who was extra sweet!”
“She's the BEST ! ! ? by providing highly personalized experiences that comfort my kids and building a reputation as a caring customer- focused brand. Loved, will go back again for sure.”
“Ray is an East Village celebrity. Originally from Iran, Ray jumped overboard a Navy ship to swim away to a new life in the United States. He started the shop in the 70s and has been around ever since. Even when Ray recently sustained an assault, he went right back to work. This institution offers various soft serve, fries, fried Oreos, hotdogs, chili dogs, egg creams, onion rings. Any number of fried foods one might eat after a drunken soirée. Someone commented on his Instagram page, “no one has seen me drunker than this man.” Most things are 7-10 dollars, though there are a few things that are more expensive, like 16 dollars or so. Pretty sure Ray is cash only. Ray still works the spot. He’s about to turn 91. If you want to see him, get on with it. New York changes all the time. One day you might show up, and Ray will be gone. Don’t miss your chance to experience this icon.”
“We walked upon this store before they were officially opened and they welcomed us like we were family. We have been back since and the treatment continues to maintain. My child proclaims these the best crepes in the world and this child knows crepes. Highly recommend supporting them when you have a sweet tooth.”
“I had such a wonderful experience at the Five Below store, and I want to give a special shout-out to Gina, Gary, and Ava. While the entire staff was fantastic, these three employees truly went above and beyond to help me.
I was fulfilling an Instacart order and wasn’t familiar with where anything was, except for the candy aisle. In most stores, when you ask for help, associates usually just point in a general direction. But Gina, Gary, and Ava did something extraordinary: they took the time to walk me over to the products and show me exactly where everything was.
When I needed about five Fidget Spinners, Gina even went to the back to grab some for me! That level of care and effort is the kind of customer service the world needs more of. I truly appreciate their kindness and professionalism.
Thank you, Gina, Gary, and Ava, for making my shopping experience stress-free and enjoyable. You are shining examples of excellent customer service!”

“A friend brought me here for my first time in NYC. Really nice boutique chocolate shop that specializing in chocolate from Japan. They infuse all sorts of flavors and the one I tried was Oolong- it was delicious and creamy. The staff were friendly and they had samples out which was nice. It’s a small, very straightforward niche kind of place if you like gourmet chocolate. It is pricier but definitely worth it if you like high quality made chocolates.”

“I purchased a 1lb box of assorted chocolates. I bought it as a hostess gift for Thanksgiving. Our host had lived on the west coast for years and was ecstatic. Apparently, she did not know there is a store in Manhattan. She will be visiting!”
“Love this store was there today and they were cleaning and stocking. The place looked great! Keep up the Good work. Cory G, who does a great job. The light skin young lady with the pretty eyes sorry don't know your name. She is always helpful. She works security and the register. The Manager who helped me get my phone case I could never find. The young people who work here are very nice and helpful. Big up to you all for always being polite and professional. Plus you always have the goodies in this store.”
“The staff here is really friendly, polite and helpful. I went there as I needed a personalized piñata. The piñata they made was beautiful my kid loved it. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be going back.”
“I had my daughter Olivia's birthday party hosted by Matisse Chocolatier this past weekend and it exceeded my expectations! Matisse was so easy to work with, they were extremely accommodating, and make everything so easy/seamless - totally low lift for me!
Nija and Jessica were delightful, kind, energetic (I could go on and on) and they deserve the biggest shoutout for managing a group of kids with nothing but smiles and warmth.
The kids AND parents loved every minute of it. I got such great feedback that it was different and fun for everyone.
Thank you Matisse for bringing such joy to my daughter and her friends. It was a memory she will forever have and we are so grateful for the experience you provided. Thank you!”

“Such a great variety of candy! My husband enjoyed sour peach rings and the classic gummy bears, while I got a taste of my childhood via candy cola gummies! And of course we had to get some dark chocolate covered nuts and pretzels!”
“I love Harlem Chocolate Factory! The chocolates are unique, delicious and memorable, and are worth the trip from wherever you happen to be in the city. I have gone out of my way on multiple occasions to visit during their opening hours just to purchase their truffles, and I often bring folks with me or purchase their chocolate for others. The response is always the same (some version of "omg these are amazing!"). The staff is also lovely and lively - I have yet to meet a sad or sulky person working the counter. It's a small shop but an enjoyable experience. I have tried virtually everything they sell except maybe a few of the bars, and I have not once been disappointed. Try them and thank me later.
Parking: There is no dedicated parking - there is street parking and a few paid garages in the area.”
