Yet another money hungry vet who doesn't care about animals. $700 later, no cultures were done, which should have been. Plus, I couldn't be with my pet during his examination, as they "take him to the back". Now I have to find another vet who doesn't automatically try to sell you on expensive diets I told him my pet won't even eat and he didn't even run the right tests to get to the root of the problem to even determine which diet the pet should be on. Plus, Dr. Kim, the only doctor there, speaks broken English & I couldn't understand most of what he was saying. So now I have to find another vet. It seems to me that the vet business in general is one of the most greed driven medical practices to be had, even worse than overpriced human doctors. Dr. Allam, who used to be at their other practice in Secaucus was the best vet I've ever been to, but very much to my dismay, he left. This location in Secaucus South was advertised as an affordable vet. It's far from it. The ladies in the front are very sweet, that's about the only good thing I can say.

Quick, informative, detailed. Had my dog neutered there without any issue. My dog also has allergies and ear infections and is always treated appropriately.

They never pick up the phone - I call every month and the phone rings and rings or when I do have my call picked up - I am placed on immediate hold that lasts over 20 minutes and finally give up. I pay $600 a year to Banfield for their services which I am never able to redeem at any of their locations. Stay away.

I had recently broke my foot and I was in the ER, but my wife needed to take our dog to the vet ASAP for an eye injury. They got me in that day, and I can say my baby boy is doing great!

When traveling there’s no worries about where my pooches need to go for care. A Banfield Pet Hospital is always nearby and records are on file. To top it off, they are treated with care, as if they are family.

Whoevever worked the closing shift on June 29, 2023 needs to be fired and once I figure out who it is, I will be reporting them to as high as I can. I have called Numerous times back to back because I had an emergency. First they put me on hold, then answered and out me back on hold when I called back. Then never got back on the phone so I started calling again a few more times and they proceeded to continue declining the call and sending me to voicemail. I will be reporting whoever it is once I find out the name when I come in. Will never reccommend this place. My dog could have been dying!!! If 0 stars was an option, thats exactly what I would give them.

I went there and they tried to sell me the Wellness plan. That's The First thing they speak about instead of asking you why are you here for. Moreover the cost of the plan quoted on site is about $15 more per month than what's displayed on their website for the same location. Fraudulent practice.

Updating my review - I love the Secaucus South location, although I wish there was a Jersey City location as well! The staff is very responsive, the veterinarians work well, and I've been pleased overall!

My original review was written for Secaucus Animal Hospital. However, that practice was unfortunately sold to Banfield. My first appointment after Banfield took over operations was VERY upsetting. I had scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hatch, my regular vet. This was during c*vid lockdowns, and the appointments were curbside. First, the technician who came out to take my cat was VERY pushy about vaccinations. My cat is older and I no longer do vaccinations unless absolutely necessary. The tech tried multiple times to get me to consent to vaccines and finally only relented when I said "I will discuss it with the doctor when he calls". Once my cat was inside, I was never actually called for the exam/treatment. I was only called once everything was done. I was told about an ear infection that she was diagnosed with and treated for - which I would have consented to had I been asked, but I brought the cat in for a chronic skin allergy and needed her meds refilled. The person who called me had an accent that I had a hard time understanding, so when I was speaking with the receptionist to pay, I asked that Dr. Hatch call me when he was free. I was then advised that Dr. Hatch was off for the week. "Well, then, who saw my cat?!?". The person who called me had been the vet who saw my cat. I had a strong relationship with Dr. Hatch, so I was not as upset that he didn't call during the exam because I trust him and he knows me. However, the fact that a vet I have never seen before administered diagnostics and treatments without consent, while also ignoring my actual reason for the visit, was infuriating. I went to this vet a couple of other times while Dr. Hatch was still there (and once for a euthanasia that I couldn't wait for an appointment on) but once Dr. Hatch was gone, I never went back. Dr. Hatch and some of his old staff were the only reasons to stay - Banfield ruined this veterinary practice. And charged a lot more for the experiences.

Never have an appt. Had to find another doctor due to lack of appointments. Poor CS. They never answer their phone so if you have an emergency or a general question; this is NOT the place for you. They do have an answering service. But don't keep your hopes up. They will NEVER return your call. They are out by 2 months for appointments, even for vaccines with limited availability. Poor.
