This is by far the worst place I have ever lived. As tenants, we are treated with complete disregard. We are required to pay a $75 “amenities” fee every month, yet there is no proper indoor space for children to play during the winter — and this is a building full of families and kids. There are plenty of empty areas that could easily be used for this purpose, but nothing is done.
The pool is constantly closed to residents from 2PM to 6PM for private swimming lessons run by an outside company. These lessons are extremely expensive, and even though we already pay for amenities, we are not allowed to use the pool or even the deck during that time. This is extremely frustrating and unfair to paying tenants.
Reaching out to management is pointless. Emails get ignored, concerns are dismissed, and the overall attitude is that they only care about money — not about improving residents’ quality of life.
If you are considering moving here, think twice. The facilities do not match the cost, and the lack of respect for residents is extremely disappointing.

Thank you, @Leticia, for your quick response and care in addressing the cold office issue. I truly appreciate how promptly you reached out to the support team and even brought in a small heater. Your follow-up and willingness to help make a real difference.
It’s wonderful to live in a place that feels so comfortable and safe.

Stellar amenities and staff! It's a perk to live in a tranquil community, easy access to stores/restaurants and NYC is within reach. Leticia is the very best. Always attentive and helpful to tenants.

I lived here for 5 years — from when the rent was around $2800 all the way up to $3400. I stayed even though there were problems with the building, because I had made friends here and felt settled. I could have left, but I chose to stay loyal to this place.
And yet, after 5 years of being a quiet, responsible tenant, I was forced out because of new tenants who moved in downstairs. They started making false noise complaints against me — saying I was “dragging furniture and jumping” at 3 AM. That makes zero sense: I’m a student, I leave in the morning and come back at night, and I have 8 AM classes the next day. Why would I be “jumping around” at 3 AM?
It got so ridiculous that they even called the cops on me. The police stood outside my door for 5 minutes, didn’t hear anything, and wrote in the report that there was no noise. I still have that police report as proof.
Yes, the building is poorly built — you can hear every single footstep because the floors are paper thin. But instead of acknowledging the real problem (bad construction), the management office chose the easy way out: ignore a loyal resident who had been here for years and side with brand-new tenants. They decided they didn’t want to “hear complaints” anymore, so they pushed me out.
What’s even worse — I could constantly hear footsteps and noise from the people above me, but I never had a single thought about complaining, because I understood they had a small child running around. I understood this is apartment building where hundreds of people live in the same building, where noise happens. That’s part of being reasonable. Too bad management doesn’t share the same mindset
This management does not care about tenants. They only care about convenience for themselves. After 5 years of paying thousands in rent, I was treated like I was disposable. They even “offered” to move me to a first-floor unit, but with new application fees, losing my deposit, and starting all over again — even though I wasn’t the one at fault.
In the end, I moved into a much better, newer apartment with far better management. And honestly — I couldn’t be happier to be gone.
If you are considering living here, be ready to be treated like trash. The leasing office staff and the market staff are friendly and amazing, but the management office is nothing but a bunch of animals.

We had a great experience touring Next Secaucus with Dawn Samouhos. Despite it being close to the end of her workday on a Sunday, Dawn was incredibly welcoming and accommodating as we walked in for a tour. She took her time to show us around and answered all of our questions with patience and professionalism. Her friendly demeanor and thorough knowledge made the experience enjoyable and stress-free.
Highly recommend working with Dawn if you're considering Xchange at Secaucus!

The reviews are correct concerning the staff: Leticia, Erika, Cherise and the maintenance leadership, Isaiah and Luis are wonderful. However, we (tenants) as a whole have widely agreed that there’s a severe reduction of services. The standout in decline including shuttle service, common area decorum, concierge hours, and a few more. It’s understandable that during Pandemic protocols, we had to have those cutbacks, but now there are many inconveniences. In the past month, I’ve had to call Uber 3 times because shuttle drivers arrive late in the mornings. Not a serial complainer but it has gotten to a place where we had to share some grievance.

Don't rent here! Not worth the cost and definitely anything but luxury. Advertised as doorman buildings but now barely ever see the doorman due to cutbacks. Advertised shuttle service which you are required to pay for, and now only 1 shuttle running and frequently unreliable.
Walls are thin, mgmt never cleans the dirty hallways, maintenance is slow, aggressive emails to demand tenants do things so they could charge more. If you charge high prices for a complex in middle of nowhere you better provide the amenities to justify it.
