“An unexpected flat tire at 6:45 p.m. could have been a stressful, miserable experience, especially with the temperature at 104 degrees and a 100-mile drive still ahead of me. Instead, the team at the Mavis Discount Tire shop on Camplain Road in Hillsborough turned it into exactly the opposite.
From the moment I arrived, Phil, Dave, and Axel immediately put me at ease. They treated me more like a guest than a customer—offering me a cold bottle of water, a charging cord for my dead cell phone, and, most importantly, genuine kindness and reassurance.
They gave me complete confidence in their diagnosis, explained everything clearly, and worked efficiently to get me safely back on the road. I especially appreciated that they solved the problem without requiring me to unload my fully packed vehicle, which would have been a major ordeal.
Their pricing was fair, their service was prompt, and their professionalism was exceptional. It's rare to find a business that combines fairness, competence, and genuine compassion so effortlessly. Phil, Dave, and Axel were outstanding—not just because they were excellent at their jobs, but because they were genuinely kind people.

Kyle, Walko Hybrid Technician fixed my car in 2 weeks (after sitting in my driveway, for 1 year). Asked me for car symptoms:
• Check engine light displayed;
• Engine revved, without me pressing on gas;
• Jack hammer or slight fluttering noise, when accelerated from a stop (due to coolant leaking into engine and then drying up); and
• Diagnostic codes from my T-Mobile tool (engine misfires).
He provided details and pricing for me to make needed decisions. After repairs made, my car drives like new, even though it has 226,000 miles:
• Head gasket replaced;
• Water pump replaced;
• Brake master cylinder module replaced; and
• Damaged engine cylinder repaired by machine shop.
Any NJ hybrid owner, who needs car repairs should go to Walko. You won’t regret it!”

“It was a great experience except I went there with my windshield washer fluid all inside and not bothered. When I pulled out the light was on which was odd. I drove around the corner and asked if they forgot to put the windshield washer fluid in. The guy comes out and says I forgot to tell you it’s all pouring out. Wires thing is there was no light on and I was cleaning the dirt and debris off of the windshield before I got there using it. I didn’t like that at all. I watched him place the fluid in as I was standing up watching and moving around. While the guy was working downstairs. It wasn’t until the end of the oil change when he took the under engine cover down to assist the guy in placing it back on that he ran upstairs and started putting more fluid in. He and the guy below began to speak Spanish to one another and I paid and said thanks. So somewhere along the way they either hit or punctured the line and now I have to pay to fix it. Not happy and I am placing a claim.”

“I had a very nice experience with the two gentlemen that helped take care of my oil change, it was quick and I didn't have to wait long. They were very upfront and honest about the state of my car and told me there were some things I needed to do and look out for. Ex. Air filter, oil leak or burns off..
I also used the Xtreme Clean car wash following the oil change and they too were great, highly recommend coming here.
