My aunt has visited the South Bound Brook QuickChek several times, and Aminta has been incredibly kind and helpful to her. Since my aunt does not speak or read English very well, using the ordering kiosk can sometimes be difficult. Aminta took the time to help her navigate the kiosk, make sure she ordered exactly what she wanted, and even helped her understand some of the store’s specials and promotions. My aunt was so grateful for how patient and welcoming Aminta was, and when she returned to the store again, Aminta once again went out of her way to help her find what she needed and place her order. She came home talking about how kind Aminta had been and specifically asked me to write something because she wanted her manager and the store to know. Aminta’s patience, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond truly made a difference. My aunt felt comfortable, welcomed, and cared for, and she wanted to make sure that did not go unnoticed. “So I recently started going to this Krauszer in Highland Park for breakfast. I have to say the food has been excellent and reasonably priced. They make it while you wait so it’s very fresh. I usually buy two egg sandwiches.Their coffee is very good. They fresh ground beans for every pot. The W.B Law medium roast is smooth and robust✅. The staff at the Krausser is diligent about cleaning the pot and taking care of the Coffey equipment so it’s always excellent.The place doesn’t look like much from the outside or the inside, but it’s clean. The kitchen area, which is in full view is spotless. The restroom is clean, too, which you have to go to via back storage room, I always ask first.They do have a few tables in the shop, but I generally get the food to go to bring to my client in Highland Park. Most of the businesses to go. Huge coffee business. My only knock on the store that cashier sometimes gets wound up dealing with customers and their lottery machine but it’s not a big deal.”

Eventually we found one, but still had to wait a little bit before an attendant came by. The gas attendant was very friendly, though!”

The store is always clean, well stocked, and easy to get in and out of quickly despite the bustle. What really stood out to me was the owner’s kindness. One day after work I stopped in for some cream / half-n-half but they had sold out. Instead of just saying “sorry,” he told me I could take some of the leftover light cream from the coffee station so I didn’t have to go without. It was such a small gesture, but it showed a level of customer service you just don’t see much anymore. It’s clear he cares about the people who come through his store, and that kind of personal touch is rare these days. If you’re in the area and need gas, coffee, or a quick stop for snacks or essentials, this is absolutely the place to go. Great owner, great service, and a store that’s run the right way.”
