“This place has been here since the early 50s! I love the charm of it all... from the old school worn out sign outside... to the friendly family owned stories that you can get from Peter... that is right up my alley! My husband came here before and was happy with the service and the food... I came here searching the real German bologna that my grandfather couldn't find any regular deli... I got that and some liverwurst for myself... haven't tried the liverwurst yet, but my Papa said the bologna was spot on! For that reason alone, I will be back in regularly for him. They have a vast sandwich menu and other entrees and sides.... I intend on keeping their catering services in mind!”
“UPDATE:I received a call from the owner within 24 hours of this review (on a Sunday). She offered to do whatever she could to make this right. Fortunately, we placed the product in the freezer, so no harm. I will order again for another try based on this response.My customer service experience was very different than others leaving a review. I placed an order in the summer to be shipped. My husband is a Jersey native and I wanted to surprise him. When the order was received, there was some insulation and two ice packs. It was brought right inside the house, but the Texas heat and time in delivery vehicle were unforgiving. The product did not feel cold so we temped it and it was 66 degrees. My husband immediately put it in the freezer and I reached out to the company to find out if it would be considered safe to eat. Some processed meats do not require refrigeration and I wasn’t sure about this one. We received no response, no follow up to multiple emails and no return calls. Completely ghosted!”
“We bought delicious apple juice (called cider), pickles, excellent milk, vegetables and a delicious beef shepherd’s pie from this market. The glass bottle can be returned. Very cute shop.”

“Best chicken, beef, or pork in the area. Nothing beats a real butcher. They’ve been here 60+ years and get the same meat that goes out to all the big NY steakhouses. They don’t have many cuts on display bc they like to cut them made to order for you. They do have a freezer with reasonably priced chuck and high grade ground beef burgers that I love. I go for the charcoal cuts and other cuts they don’t carry at places like Whole Foods, try the oyster cut or something else cool. The owners are so friendly and always remember you and always know the best way to cook it! I’ve been coming here for over a year and have never ever ever been disappointed. Here’s a picture of a whole Pennsylvania Dutch chicken doke in my air fryer rotisserie style. :)”

“Great clean pleasant nice parking area in the side and back automatic doors to make it easier to get in well regulated store temperature beautiful yummy mostly fleshing takeout open when the store does, Delicious looking tuna wraps and egg salad wraps packaged very appealing with a yummy cucumber etc, keep it up a fan from Lakewood! “The service is great. The locals flock here. There are some characters who give this place its vibe. A talkative place. Large portions where you don't get away hungry. Eating "right" can be had, no fountain drinks. Great daily specials. Parking is a concern, not much around. The prices are really good and more than fair for what you get. Make to order sandwiches made the you like. The onion rings are top-notch. Kielbasa and kruat is available. a treat that is hard to find in these parts.”
