I recently hired Pack-Rat Moving Services to transport my belongings, and was highly pleased with their professional staff's prompt responsiveness, responsiveness, and care in handling each one with respect. I would recommend their superior and trustworthy service!

In my experience, moving can be one of the biggest headaches, especially during an unexpected life event.In my case, I had to empty my belongings out of one of their containers. I had my 5yr old & no one to lend a hand... I was almost done, when mother nature added freezing temperatures, snow & then topped my situation with rain... ?The on-site management of this location were friendly, polite & helpful. I had spoken to someone through the 1-800 number, and although they were professional, they lacked that personal touch. I understand that most larger companies have their customer service representatives in one location, and train them to deal with customers with a "black & white" manual. However, they forget that life is full of "grey" & unexpected events, especially weather and being off-site makes this even more difficult.Thank you to Karl & his team for making a horrible situation in my life a little easier to deal with ?

I can't say enough good things about Pack Rat. Their movers were friendly and efficient, and their storage solutions were a game-changer for me. I was able to declutter my new space and take my time settling in, knowing my items were in good hands. Pack Rat is the best choice for both moving and storage needs.

Driver Preston was very rude when arriving on scene. First he drove by very fast and passed the location then slammed the brakes and pulled a u turn in the middle of the street. When backing up to the container he hit it twice. Got out of the truck yelling and stomping his feet. When he left he floored it up the street and ran a stop sign. Not sure if he’s a new guy or what’s going on but very unprofessional will not being getting my business ever again.

I booked 1-800-PACK-RAT instead of the competition because they had the best price in the game. I was nervous after reading all of the reviews (the bad ones and the obvious ones trying to bolster their rating), but our experience was fantastic. You can book your drop offs, transfers, and pickups all online with ease. I would recommend booking ASAP so you can lock in your time slot.Everyone we met and talked to during the process was kind, courteous, and informative. They made our move a breeze!

Harrison had our unit ready for grabbing a few things out of it. I mentioned that we would need access in a few weeks and would need space to reach something stored all the way in back. He said with 24-hour notice, he can arrange it for us to have space around the unit to take things out. He was very friendly and helpful.

After reading many horrible reviews I still decided to take a chance and use Pack Rat for our move from Florida to New Jersey. For me, they had the best rates and I wanted to pack my things myself. We made the Pack-Rat booking for their 8ft container in late April/early May. We wanted to be out of our 1 bedroom apartment in Orlando by May 31st.I booked container delivery for May 24th and pick-up for May 27th. We were worried about them being on time based on reviews but the container was delivered and picked up on schedule. The 8ft container holds a lot. We were able to fit a large sectional couch, two large wardrobe boxes, 8 large (Lowe's) moving boxes, other boxes various sizes, a bike in a bike box, a surfboard, 3 sets of luggage, a computer desk (disassembled), 2 computer chairs (disassembled) and a bunch of other stuff....and we still had a little space left. If we had not given away our coffee table and dining set, those would have fit too (disassembled)Anyways, because we decided to look for an apartment AFTER we got to NJ, we opted for unpacking the container at their facility. We got to NJ on June 8th. On June 15th, I contacted Pack Rat to schedule getting our stuff at their facility. Today, June 27th we were able to pick up our stuff at their Dayton, NJ location. EVERYTHING was intact, just as we packed it. Minus one or two little hiccups along the way, the service we experienced was great!!! I would definitely use them again.

Very excellent experience with delivery and pickup. We needed to enter our storage units in Dayton, NJ and the manager there (Karl) was patient and he took his time getting our units for us to enter. Made suggestions to help secure our boxes in the unit.

I'm glad I read these reviews after a concerning call from one of their female representatives who was CLEARLY being snooty, rude & dismissive. Yesterday, I called Zippy, who evidently passed my info onto this business, because they most likely didn't have the size container I was asking for. This business quoted me a different price than what Zippy initially gave me, which was also A LOT MORE than the price on line for a much larger container (which I screen shot). As I addressed the woman's unprofessional demeanor & tried to explain to her what I was actually told she hung up on me.... further displaying an unprofessional attitude. Since Zippy didn't give me any confirmation codes or whatever... this some how made me a liar.... go figure. OBVIOUSLY, I had to have spoken to someone for Pack Rat to be able to contact me. This place just lost a possible customer. I would not recommend this place to anyone, customer service is terrible.

I am going to add to the horriffic reviews. The begininng of the process was great, James Ownes got us a gret deale(getting a1 16 ft now and 8 ft later) xplained everything in great detail and set us up, could not say enough great things about the company.And that is where the fairy tale ends Text message cued me to call and find out window of delivery, what I was told and contracted for Saturday turned into a Monday with 2-16 ft containers, called spoke to someone who put me on hold a long while and told me she would follow up, well she didnt and got an emai confirming a Monday drop, well I then lost my mind. Called and got Josh, who btw was completly incompetent, hold was lengthy and no anwsers still, would call me back at 5(2 hours later). Shocking enough he didnt, now he could not drop a container on Saturday, and now not on Monday either, now it was Tuesday and he said it s because I cancelled that they could not hold the Monday date(WHAT!!!!!) I wanted to cancel and he said there was a $300 fee, and I lost it and he hung up on me.Called back and got Nathan who was a little more competent who recorded my story for posterity, He refunded me the whole amount. Through this I emailed the orignal James Owens who responded with I am sorry and that was it. The condasending I am sorrys for these two boys was further infuriating and meaningless!! DO NOT USE THIS COMAPNY!!!!!I called POD and got a delivery for MondayDO NOT ENGAGE with this company, you will be dissapointed and they cant be trusted!!

They have quite the scheme going on, my husband lost his debit card and we had our storage on direct deposit. A few months passed and we hadn't paid, we were unaware that we didn't pay obviously, they reached out when our balance was almost 800$ telling us if we didn't pay they were going to sell our stuff. I asked them when the card declined the first month why didn't they reach out? Why did you let our bill become $800? Then the supervisor Courtney told me that I was lucky they called me then, that was their curiosity. I paid my bill because fortunately my husband and I had the money HOWEVER I can imagine how many people are not as fortunate to have that kind of money to dish out. Needless to say I paid and canceled. I dont like companies that take advantage of people and to let someone's bill get that high and call it a curiosity call is absolutely mind blowing and inconsiderate as a business. I will never recommend them.

This is how everything should work. They were professional from beginning to end. Everything went exactly as they said it would, no hidden costs, the drivers and office staff were highly personable and thorough. They kept in constant contact with me about the pick-up and delivery at both the origin and destination. Best shipping/moving experience I've ever had with such a company.

This company cannot be trusted to show up. They no showed on the delivery date and did not call. I called them up to find out what happened and they said they called one, not both, of the numbers on file. I called my wife and she had no calls from them. I called back and they said they actually ran out of containers and rescheduled and did not call. I needed to use this weekend to pack and was stuck trying to find a different company right before the weekend. Look at 5he other reviews. This is not an isolated incident. Do not rely on 1800 pack rat. I guess I should have known better than to rely on a rat.
