Me and my husband have been calling the customer service department. We’ve had our solar panel for about two years or so and recently found out that they are not working. There is a problem with the system and nobody has gotten back to me or my husband. very disappointing it still waiting for someone to call us back.

Very poor customer service.We had to get our roof repaired and 1st light had to come to remove some panels. That step took over 4 weeks.Then the roof got repaired in 1day and 1st light was notified to reinstall the panels, that step took another 4 weeks. At this time the Tech determined our Inverter needs to be replaced........This was on March 22nd, still waiting for them to come and replace it so our system is down for almost 2 monthsI'm told the inverter is there but the optimizer is not there so they are waiting for it.I have no idea when that may happen.Very, very poor management and organization.

This is a scam solar in general is a scam they will take a huge loan from your house promise you small bill but it will be more cause your paying the loan plus the solar wouldn’t work after 6 months, please be advise. If anyone knows a lawyer please let me know I want to settle and disconnected my solar, it will be impossible to disconnect from this company once u go in contract with them…. PLESE be Advise

We were promised we would be at 100%solar and only have a meter charge with the UI. I have been going back and forth with this company for over a year. Our panels have never worked correctly since they were installed. We pay $326.00 for solar panels and still have a UI bill in the $280.00 range. We were promised we would be at 100% Solar with a 12.00 meter charge. Some months have been over 700.00 between the two. We pay more for energy now than we did with just UI. Company is very slow to fix issues. I do not recommend 1st Light. If my issue doesn't get resolved I'm calling every news station, Consumer protection . I've had it and nothing ever gets resolved.

They installed my solar quite a while ago.. Now that there is a problem with it, they would not come back to service it. Had to call another company and they pointed out all the shoddy work that was done

I do not recommend this company, they are very irresponsible since they put my solar on my house, water started to come out of my roof, it damaged my roof, they never fixed it and after almost two years with that problem, two months ago they put a new roof on me and two months ago they have not come to put my solar back,right now paying so much for something that is useless and they only lie to you about what you are going to save.... do not hire this company

Installation was fine and we've been happy with the panels for the past 4 years. HOWEVER - trying to reach anyone with in issue is impossible! They don't answer the phones and the online "case" submission constantly errors out. It's a shame because everything was fine until now.

This company is trash. I referred them to my doctor and he installed over 60 panels at his house and this people haven't payed me for it . Also when I got my panels they promised all this credits and then when I did my taxes , I didn't received my property tax abatement, then I contacted them and gave me the run around and a whole bunch of excuses. Finally they try to bribe me with some money so I could give them a good review. Tammy Hammer , Bradley Parker , April Baptista and their team are a whole bunch of crooks. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else for solar. And this was over 2 years ago so there is no pandemic excuse

If I could have given this company a zero rating, I would have. They have lied and misled me. They promised a new roof as an incentive and now it seems I have to actually pay for the roof and the solar panels. This was not what the initial salesman told us. Also, they did nothing for months then tried to make it seem like I was to blame. They did not answer my texts nor return my calls. After not being able to contact them I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. They finally replaced the roof and installed the solar panels but, at every turn, there was a change to the terms. I balked at signing another contract when the work was done because it was the same contract I had already signed but for more money. Now they are threatening me with liens. They are the worst. If you want solar panels DO NOT HIRE FIRST LIGHT ENERGY. You will regret it.

I can't stress this enough- DO NOT GET SOLAR PANELS FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! Currently, my monthly loan from them is $231.91 every month for these panels that don't work. I've had them since around September of 2018. I was told I would receive tax cuts in the form of upfront cash that could go towards paying the 48k solar loan that I would need for these panels. Not only was that information a lie, I did not receive any of the help I was promised when it came time to file my taxes. If you look it up like I should have in the moment, it says clearly that if you lease your unites you get NOTHING. In addition to that, I am STILL PAYING AN ELECTRIC BILL ONTOP OF IT! I live with my fiance in a small raised ranch. We are religious about keeping the lights off, and when its daytime we use the natural sun light to light up the room because our electricity bill is so absolutely crazy. Our heat / cooling is done by gas, so there's no reason my bills should be this insane. Just this month my solar bill was $231.91 and my electricity was $301 on top of it! I emailed them a month ago and no one has reached out to me. I sent another email, I've called about 5 numbers because every automatic email response has given me a different number to call. Today I called a few numbers and was finally transferred to a live person who spoke to me for 5 minutes before saying she would forward this to yet another person / department. At this point, I'm at a complete loss, and have no idea what I'm supposed to do. It's disgusting the way they do business, and seeing this company in my neighborhood trying to sell panels that break or don't work makes me nauseous. I've already told everyone I know never to get panels from this place, and I will also be typing up and dropping notes to everyone in my area to stay away from this place as I see this company door-to-door selling to everyone in my area all the time. They are liars!! Please, please, please don't make the same mistake I did. At this point I'm just trying to sell this house to get away from it.

Initially they were fine. I've had an issue with my system since October 2019. We have had a couple of service calls that have not resolved the problem. No one answers the phone or responds to emails. They may be out of business, hard to tell.

I love my solar panels! They just went up yesterday and I am so excited. I was worried that I wouldn’t like how they looked on my roof but quite honestly the shiny glass looks a lot prettier than my asphalt shingles! My husband and I have had a great experience with 1st Light Energy so far. We had a lot of questions and felt that our concerns were taken into account during the design and what we wanted was exactly what we got at the install, which was only really took a couple hours. Our inspections have already been scheduled with the township and we are hoping to be able to turn it on in early June. Thanks 1st Light!
