“what a splendid visit we had! We came on a weekday so it really wasnt so busy. The place is huuuuge so we spent a good amount of time there and enjoyed every minute lol the plants are really well taken care of and so beautiful! they also have "rare" tropical plants there such as their variegated monsteras which were all so pretty! anyway, We visited before thanksgiving and there were already christmas decors. We loved the holiday vibes and took so many pictures. Honestly every corner is a photo spot! it was that pretty! the staff were very pleasant as well which i appreciated! aside from plants they have gift items, home decors or holiday things. the even have pretty peacocks and a curious hen the day we visited lol so cute! Now if they only had an espresso/coffee shop this would be even more perfect! lol”

Hands down, the best tomatoes and corn you can find in the county.
John and Joan's nursery section is jam packed with with healthy plants and flowers that make the big box stores offerings look like leftovers. Its definitely worth the drive to this location for the great offerings and the friendly conversation from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation family members who run this little gem.”

Not only did Greg find a compatible key replacement but he took care of emptying all the gas out so we could safely store it away & have it in prime shape whenever we need it next. “Nick at J&M is incredible, and it’s an understatement to say I shop here because of him. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of plants, including native plants, and he can answer even the most nuanced and complex questions with ease. Though it’s tempting to believe our computers can do all our landscape architecture for us, I can affirm that ChatGPT doesn’t know what Nick knows. He can tell me exactly what is going on with various growers, issues that have strained production, patterns of larger companies, when plants are expected to restock, etc. His deep industry relationships are an invaluable tool for understanding how and when I can landscape my property.
Speaking of relationships, he is easy to speak and work with because he is kind-hearted, nonjudgmental and low ego. Whether you are an expert gardener or completely new to it and anxiously arriving feeling clueless, he will never make you feel stupid, and I can guarantee he will give you sage advice. When Fred Rogers said look for the helpers, he was talking about Nick. There just aren’t enough people like him in the world, and I feel so lucky that we have him right here in Madison.”

“I need to take a minute to write about what a great experience I had with Joe the store manager. I came to Home Depot to return a small Item. When the sales associate who was initially helping me had trouble with the return, I asked to speak to a store manager. That is when I met Joe. He went above and beyond to help me and explain the return policy to me. He was polite, kind and very personable. People like that are rare today especially when you are dealing with a large company.
