“I’ve never written a review for a post office, but I feel like they deserve the recognition! The employees at this location are wonderful. They go above and beyond and they are always kind and helpful. I lost a receipt a few weeks ago, and they took the time to retrieve it for me without hesitation. I always get the best service in this little spot. Thank you!!”
“Wow I cannot say enough amazing things!!! I had an AWFUL experience Monday in Cranford trying to do a name change on my passport. I walked in and no one wanted to help me despite having an appointment, and they also told me I had the wrong form (it ended up being the correct form). After 45 minutes, my gut told me to leave and go to another post office. I walked into Fanwood today and was so pleasantly greeted by Evans who told me I indeed had the right form and walked me through the entire process. He was so wonderful and knowledgeable, and I am so happy my instincts told me to try another post office. Had I submitted my application the way they were advising, I would have received a rejection letter and wouldn’t have my passport in time for my vacation. Highly recommend Fanwood. They are truly wonderful here.”

“Reviewing the post office based on how they handle your passport application is just stupid. This is a post office. They handle mail. And parcels. They sell stamps. And money orders. Yes, they are required to handle passport applications, but forcing other customers to wait while you ask stupid passport questions whose answers can be found online or fill out forms that should be completed ahead of time is inconsiderate and self-centered.
The postal operations at this facility are first-class. I’ve been a customer here for decades and, other than some occasional grumpiness, have never had a service problem. They are efficient and very knowledgeable.”
“I had a passport appointment for my 2 kids at the Middlesex Post Office. When I arrived, I was told that all appointments were cancelled, however I did not receive an email that my appointment was cancelled. I asked the man where else I could go to get this done and he told me to “Google it”. I was very unhappy with the whole experience and his attitude. I did in fact “Google it” and I found that the Dunellen Post Office takes walk-in’s for passports Tuesday-Thursday. It was Friday, but I thought I’d give it a try anyway. When we walked in we were told that there were no walk-in appointments on Fridays. I asked where I could go, and the 2 girls offered several suggestions. I then told them about my experience at the Middlesex Post Office and how I took off work, picked my daughter up early from school, and had my 20 year old son leave work to get these passports done. TYCHIC looked at us and said after hearing our story she would do it for us!!!! She saved the day and I could not appreciate her more. It was so nice of her to do it for us, and she was very helpful and professional. From now on, I will be going to the Dunellen Post Office because of my wonderful experience working with TYCHIC. Thank you again TYCHIC!!!!”

I actually go out of my way to use this location over others nearby. The service is consistently friendly and efficient, with the exception of one newer employee who seems less approachable. Lines can get long due to customer delays, not staff, but I usually wait no more than 10 minutes. The space is small but functional, and they have a fun selection of envelopes. Overall, a great post office.”

“Typically, any trip to the post office is associated with a groan, procrastination, then a period of denial. My wife and I couldn't put it off any longer. Holiday gifts had to go and we're in a pandemic. Our local post office was out of the question so we thought, try a new place.So glad we drove to the Park Ave., USPS. Erik was the clerk and he was extremely friendly, patient and professional. Took the time to advise us on our packages and delivery options and we in no way felt rushed. It was hard to imagine we were in a United States Post Office. Haven't had an experience like that in decades.Parking is fairly easy, lines were not very long despite holiday season rush on a Saturday morning. Also, there is disabled parking (which I utilized), directly in front as well as wheelchair ramp access for those who require it.Stay safe and be well...”
“I had the pleasure of being assisted by Lovida at the post office, and I must say, she completely turned my experience around. After two previous visits, one being a walk-in and another an appointment that had to be rescheduled due to short staffing… I was beginning to feel a bit frustrated. But the moment I walked in on the third time, Lovida greeted me with a cheerful smile and made me feel completely at ease. Not only was she warm and friendly, but she was also incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Her positive attitude and willingness to assist truly made me forget about the previous inconveniences I had faced. “I love Tara, who works at this post office, I live in Summit and come all the way here just because of her. I always have a prepaid label so it is a quick in and out, I have a small business and do a lot of shipping. When being attended by other other officers, even having pre-paid labels, I have sometimes ran into comments about how something about my package or my label is wrong (wrong package type, wrong sticker placement, wrong "zone rate" (my labels are created automatically by the USPS software based on accurate package details and shipping info so these comments don't even make sense). That has never happened with Tara and my package delivery rate is 100% with her.”
