“Initially I was angry because it took forever to get it done, because It was a minor accident, but unknown to me there were more damage under the hood. When I went to pickup the car, I was so impressed with the work, both outside and under the hood. They know their stuff.
Few things to know:
1. They work directly with insurance, so if you know your insurance is not the best, look for another local mechanic.
2. It takes a while to fix the car, if you do not have that patience, look for another place... However, trust me you won't be disappointed at the end.
3. You get update through text message (not everyday), but if you give them a call for update, they will always answer your call.
4. They provide a web-link where you can see your repair estimate and track the progress... The 1st week estimate is not the final, keep that in mind... Most likely end of 2nd week you get exact estimate for the repair.

I'm writing this because something absurd happened.
Couple of month ago, a small rock flew on the highway and cracked my windshield, so I had to replace it.
I replaced it with an OEM one to cover insurance, and it was good.
I wasn't worried because my insurance company was a major one, and the deductible was only $100, but they refused to reimburse me for the windshield replacement because I didn't get a preliminary inspection.
I fought with the insurance company for two months, but ultimately, I didn't get a reimbursement.
I'll say this again,
Be sure to get an inspection and approval from your insurance company before replacing your windshield.”
“I never write a review but felt it was necessary due to the level of service these guys gave. The guys drove all the way to Queens to install a new car window the same day I called. Due to a defective window, they had to come again for another install, and even came in the snow. While they were here changing the window, they helped me by changing my flat tire. “Frank of Astoria Auto Repair is truly the best - he went to small claims court with me a decade ago and helped me win against a used car dealership. I bought a new car in 2015 so we didn't see each other for a long time. This year, my car has been having troubles- I've taken it to the service center twice and each time they tell me nothing is wrong with it. I replaced the battery myself. Finally, this week, it's straight up would not start, so I called Frank.
