“The cashiers and all the staff are very friendly. If you ask them about something, they help you in the best way, not like in other markets, where if you don't leave a tip, they make a fuchi face and answer you with some moditos, here they deserve the 5 stars.”
“I give it 5stars cause itsa super supermarket if your Latino. If your daily meals are Spanish then here you go. Good prices, fresh produce and well stocked. If your Diet is American cuisine then you might have a hard time finding what you need.”
“This Marketplace is so clean and organized. It's a pleasure to shop there.Food is fresh, and their juice machine is so clean, that I enjoy their vegetables fruit juices. It's so fresh and DELICIOUS”
“The store was neat and clean. It had a wonderful variety of items at good prices. The eggs are expensive!!! They carry everything you need to make any Spanish dish. I would give 5 stars if the hours were extended. Be prepared to check your bag in at the door.”
“Good local supermarket, Great customer service . There is an employee called Jessica. She helped pick out fruits and vegetables and thought me how to pick them. She took the time to. Very helpful.”
“Very good place to shop. It's a small supermarket but you find everything you need. Here I like to buy cuts of meat. Friendly staff and ample parking in the back.”
“This place has become my main spot for shopping, offering a big variety of products at prices I consider reasonable.
It's organized well, making it easy to find what you need, from fresh produce to cleaning products. The prices are reasonable, making it a great option for shoppers that are careful with their budgets like me. However, the bag policy is a bit inconvenient; you’re required to purchase and use their bags to pack your items, which can definitely throw you off guard. Despite this minor drawback, the overall experience is pleasant, with friendly staff and a vibrant atmosphere.
For anyone looking for a reasonably priced shopping destination that is located on a somewhat quiet area of the city, this market is worth a visit. Just remember to plan for the bag policy. I’d give it 4/5 stars for its affordability and variety, removing one star because of the bag policy.”

“City Fresh Market, we need to have a talk. Nothing terrible, nothing tense, but a sincere, heart to heart, one on one. Holding hands. I am new to Union City. I lived in nearby Jersey City for 20 years, but house hunting brought me here, and I so far, love it. I love being steps away from Bergenline Avenue and where I can pick and choose markets to buy my produce and fish from. You could not ask for a better place to live in. Now, I get it. The rent is high. Prices are through the roof. However, how can you believably charge 12$ for a one-gallon Tropicana OJ, pulp, no pulp, or drowning in pulp? When I saw the price, and note that this was on a late night (a big plus for you to be open 24 hours, which softens the blow), I figured, well -- no one else is open, let's get it. You see, I figured, this must be a special type of Tropicana OJ. I applied it on my skin to see if it rejuvenated me. Nope. Citric acid removes some skin roughness in the elbows -- not this one. I even attempted to see if applying a smidgen of a 12$ gallon of Tropicana to a glass of vodka and bitters would somehow make the taste go pop! with a zing!, but nope. City Market, I was let down. I was left abandoned, betrayed, and reenacted "The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant" which burned my newly renovated engineered hardwood floor and left a mark, like Cain, glaring at me, telling me, "You should have gone to Trader Joes!" And it's not just the Tropicana OJ. Even the Glad Tupperware was overpriced. Honeycrisp apples for 3.49 each? Did I hallucinate that? I hope I did. Normally I would get about 10 at any other location, but this time, I had to tearfully settle for a mere three and sob my way to the cashiers. Still, all is not lost. What it lacks in pricing (and note, not all of their prices are in the clouds), it does bowl me over with its ambiance. I have yet to try their buffet and eatery, which everyone has told me is "da bomb." [Of course, I shall be the authority on that once I apply tastebuds to food.] It looks pretty upscale and nifty (if a little tight in size), staff is beyond friendly, and the overall experience plus its "always open" availability is a major plus. I don't yet know if it delivers; the site states that one can place an order online, so that remains to be seen. I will be returning, of course, but only to procure items that are priced evenly with other locations. And my wrinkles have not gone yet, so that 12$ Tropicana and I have since parted ways (Its plastic carcass is on its way to a recycling plant and I, well... remain disappointed).”
“Nice sized local market that services the Spanish community, nice butcher and good produce available. Good selection of Spanish foods but if your looking for something specific that is not Spanish they may not have it. Remember to tip the checkout ladies when they help you bag your groceries. ?”
