I was very lucky to come across AKAR where the mechanics provided me with speedy assistance, patching the tire in under half an hour, and charging me a very reasonable price. “I needed some emergency work done on my car and based on recommendations from neighbors and reviews on line, I drove up to West Lake Auto Center and spoke to Greg, one of the owners. He could not have been any nicer. My engine light was on and he explained that they were busy and probably would not get to look at my car until Tuesday…several days from when I went. Greg told me that he would TRY to take a look at my car the next day if I dropped it off, but I actually left it the night before. I thought perhaps maybe there would be a cancellation or they just could “squeeze” me in. They even offered to drive me home or pick me up, but I was able to get a ride from a neighbor. The first morning, I got a call that my spare key fob did not work. He provided me with a battery and he said if it was not available, he would pick up my main key fob. Luck had it and the battery worked. On Thursday afternoon, he gave me the diagnosis for the car and approximate cost. I just want you to know that my car had always been serviced and fixed by my dealer so I was nervous about leaving it and getting this intensive job done. He was going to try to get it done by Friday closing (holiday weekend, so closed Monday). I agreed on the price and Greg called the next morning and said that the car was finished….way before the promised time. My car rides like new and I feel very confident that I made the decision to do business here. Greg was extremely friendly and very professional. I felt strongly that he knew his stuff and I am sure that the mechanics here know what they are doing, I totally recommend coming here and will recommend them highly. I will need a servicing in a few months along with an oil change. Instead of going to the dealer, I am pretty sure I will go here. I love that they are nearby. The dealer does give me a loaner car, but I am not concerned with that for just a servicing. Try this place out and I think you will be as pleased as I am.”

“Came here on a foggy rainy Friday morning for my car to be inspected. It was fast and reliable. I came to the shop around 9 am. They take a card and I think if you pay cash there's no upcharge. $75 for inspection paid by card which rouded up to 77 and change.I'd definitely come back here again for any small repairs I might have. Didn’t get the name of who helped me here but he helped me quickly swap the tire with my spare and also gave me great advice about when I should change my tires based on the fact that I drive so much for my job. I was able to get back on the road and was only 20 min behind my schedule of patients for the day. I am so grateful, thank you again!!!”

It looks like some of the negative reviews on this listing are associated with the prior owner. The service was really good, the person pumping gas was quick-moving between cars. They also rinsed my windows. Overall, it was really courteous, thoughtful service.”
