Best quality selection in all of West Milford, much better than Uncorked with none of the temperature control issues. Store stocks customers’ favorite wines served at our few local restaurant that have liquor licensors. Well done, thoughtful selection.”
“I wish I could find a place like this near me in NJ, it's not that far and absolutely worth the drive. The Papa Joe sandwich had juicy chicken, tangy coleslaw and the best white bbq sauce I've ever had. The cheese fries were delicious, not overly greasy and just hit the spot. My sister had the Italian sandwich and it tasted classic with the perfect amount of spice from the peppers. The decor is rustic and homey with a swap meet out front and amazing hospitality and character from the staff. All in all a great deli/general store experience close enough to home.
P.S Try the burgers as well! The meat is well seasoned and even a well done burger was juicy.”

“Simply put, the Highland General Store is my favorite store in the world. Somehow they always have exactly what you need. I can wonder around the warehouse stores for what seems like hours and not find what I need. In the Highland General store they always have it, whether it’s hardware, bulbs, paint, alcohol, select groceries, deli, even Italian ice in the summer. This store is an icon, comparable in my opinion to the Hasegawa General Store in Maui (better known as the Hana General Store). I have been going to Highland General Store for over 40 years and I want to express my appreciation to the family that has owned and run it over multiple generations. It is a truly great place, everyone who lives in that area of northern NJ is privileged to be able to shop there.”

“Stopped by on my way off from a dental cleaning and got to meet Pringle. Super nice guy and very friendly. Walked me through his bourbon collection and eventually settled on a Maker's Mark 101 Limited Release.Noticed just east of the bourbon was an extensive Scotch selection. Not my first choice, but Scotch drinkers would definitely be interested in this selection.”

“Incredible service and knowledge from owner Nayant, who also is in the store daily which speaks to his level of expertise in the space.In contrast, I don't drink beer and know nothing about it. Nayant saved me as I was staring at his massive selection of local craft beers, which my brother loves and which I wanted to surprise him with a selection of. I was going to chose based on labels I liked... Nayant saw my panic/overwhelm and kindly asked if I needed help.I asked if I could just hand over the selection to him and not only did he truly take time to curate a selection of beers -- asking questions about my brother's tastes -- he also shared some local brewing knowledge with me.Beverage Plus is now my go-to for any boozy purchase... and I'll keep trusting Nayant's suggestions!”

“This is a local gem. Yes, it's an older-looking store but the owner keeps it well stocked with a wide variety of wines and liquors for a shop its size. If he doesn't have it, he will do his best to get it for you. He's done that for me and family a number of times.”
