Today, during the crazy flooding in the Hackensack area, something didn’t sound right while I was driving, so I pulled into this parking lot to check my car. I had my two little kids with me and was pretty worried.
As I was looking at the car, three amazing guys came out to help. They took the time to inspect it with me and were able to do a temporary fix so I could safely drive home.
They were incredibly kind, helpful, and generous with their time. I’m so thankful that this happened to be where I stopped. Thank you so much for your kindness. You made a stressful situation so much better!”

Also, I do not recommend bringing a dog, Lucas found his spot in the middle in between the seats. He didn't go on the long trip with me. He just went and picked the truck up.”

“This is an extremely dependable Avis/Budget location. The operator, Lenny, and his team are extremely hands-on. My cars are always ready, clean, and ready to go. In any situation where I had concerns about my vehicle, they were always addressed and often times I received a different vehicle for greater peace of mind. There are other Avis locations closer to me, but I trust them and go out of my way so I know I will have a great experience. This is the difference when it comes to independently run, local shops.
Also, if I can make a comment about others' posts about discourteous customer service, everyone has a right to their opinion (except keep the unkind personal comments to yourself). It is a very active location and there are cars coming in and out regularly. A parking lot full of cars does not automatically mean they are available, as they could be reserved already. That's not on Lenny and his team. And they cannot control the condition of the cars when they are returned, which means they will not put an unsafe or unsatisfactory vehicle back into circulation (like so often happens at corporate, airport locations). I want to deal with an operator like that. I would always choose to deal with a straight shooter vs someone trying to manage me, but that's just me.”

“Rolled in with a shredded serpentine belt, car totally undriveable and giving overheating warnings. It was a scary experience on the 87 N, and just happened to roll off the highway exit and into a parking spot outside the shop. We walked in and explained what just happened to Jan and she moved some appointments around to get our car looked at right away. We were 5 hours from home and needed to get to work the next day, so starting work around 1 PM, and finishing before it got dark (alternator also had to be replaced) really saved us. We were able to drive home the same day with a car I thought was totally trashed. So grateful we got lucky with rolling into this shop. Met some nice locals that offered rides to the small town next to the shop for food. We declined and waited it out before paying and driving home for a very very long day of travel. But I can not thank them enough for getting us in and out on the fly, ordering and installing the parts the same day. Jan is a live saver and knows her stuff when it comes to cars. All the tourists giving low reviews seem totally irrational and are taking their personal car issues out on a car shop simply giving them honest news about their vehicles. This is one of the most trustworthy car shop owners I’ve come across, especially considering it’s in a rural area and we only stopped here by sheer luck. THANK YOU JAN!!!”
