“Great resource you can get almost anything here. I like that you can buy singles of things like specific pencils or brushes. Usually online you have to buy them in packs. Even if you just go in and look around you can often find something new that you want to try.”

“This is a very cute stamp shop. The items on the shelves are ready-made and can be purchased on the spot, or you can browse the catalog and order what you like! It's about $7-15. Depends on size.
It took about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, one of the two items I ordered could not be made because the machine was not working properly. I got my first choice of airplane, so I decided to go with it. I procured the vermilion meat at 100 yen.
It's cute and I like it!
I'm stamping it on cards, etc.”

“Patty taught me how to make stained glass at a community class in ridgewood and she is the best! I really miss going to her classes but I’m happy to say I’ve run out of materials and I will be going back to her shop that’s stocked with everything that’s needed to make my pieces.”

“One of my favorite places to visit as an artist the employees here really know what they’re doing with their pigments, and the selection is so beautiful and easy to walk in and purchase. I can’t wait to mix my colors using the advice that they gave me.”

“West Side Stationer’s welcoming, helpful owner Paul, staff and tax-pro Meena on wedt 99 at 2620 Broadway, NYC are like an extension to my work they are my print shop, purchasing department, and advidors for proposals, grant applications, graphics and marketing. And publishing - all in one, online and onsite.

Unlike the big chains, they give personalized service, find or, if they don’t have something, get whatever I need to print, illustrate or package my work and communications so they look great for my freelance/home office and courses - and my communications with family/friends

I broke my ‘knee-jerk’ habit of ordering from chains when I realized how much added value I get from a team of people ready to help. Even last minute rushes. Glad to see their new online and onsite digital printing system.

“Can't say anything bad about them. I had a client call and order over the phone and it was available for a smooth and clean pickup the same day. I can always find what I need and they have multiple NYC locations (and a very user-friendly website) just in case you can't find what you need. I even picked up a compact drawing board for myself. The staff was so friendly and approachable that it was an easy sale.”

“I have been going to Paintbox NoLita for the last few years, and have had 4 separate pieces framed. I don’t write reviews often but I want to commend their services. Every time their work is top notch (most pieces I’m framing are fine art prints or paintings), and they always handle them with care. The museum glass option is a must for me, and their pricing on it is good.I know I can go to them for high quality work, and pay fair prices.I have to give them credit: as recently a lenticular I had framed by them slipped inside the frame and was crooked. I called them up and they told me to bring it in and they would fix it. I didn’t even have a receipt as it had been over a year, but they took the piece and fixed it within 2 days - no charge. This is the customer service I appreciate, and will continue to give them my business and recommend them to others.”

“Not nearly as much "hobby" as it used to be. More of a mashup of Home Goods and Michael's, anymore. Not necessarily a bad thing as we've bought a lot of nice things for the holidays and the occasional crafty items. I suppose they've adapted to the changing times in that hobby stores are shrinking and disappearing as the years go by, which is unfortunate. Wish they were open on Sundays! That's one way they (and Chick-fil-A) could definitely adopt for changing times.”

“Mohammed is great! Got a complex piece framed that was a delicate fabric from India. He did a high quality job for a reasonable rate compared to other places in nyc.”

“Tucked away between Soho and Chinatown is an unexpected Paper Source location. Since the great implosion of Papyrus and Kates Paperie closing down (most if not all) of their stores, it has not been as easy as it used to be to find a nice card shop that also wraps presents. Fortunately the ol' Yelp app helped me find this Paper Source location. This shop is interesting. It is not just a card and gift shop. It is also a cafe! The card/gift store is in the front and it is a very charming little shop. Don't turn too fast or you may knock something down. Things are really packed in. Then behind that is a small entrance to a cafe with a counter to the left and seating to the right. I did not go into the cafe that day but there were some lovely smells coming from it!It took a little bit of time to get the attention of the young lady behind the counter. She was *heavily* engaged in doing...something behind the counter. I just stood there waiting (not wanting to startle her) but other customers beat me to it. Once I had her attention she was more than helpful. I selected my gift wrap and waited for another employee to wrap the present. I was surprised by how long this took. The gift was a Barbie doll and it took over ten minutes to wrap. Mind you, it was *very* carefully wrapped and they did a great job, I was just surprised. The wrapping job cost $8 + the cost of the paper, which was a bit more than I am used to paying (another shop I've been to on the Upper East Side charges $5 + the paper). Still, I was in a rush so I went with it.In addition to cards and gift wrap, this shop carries a variety of gifts including toys, board games and puzzles so if you're looking for a gift this is a nice place to visit!”

“Drove east from Allamuchy to go to Jerry's as no one in Warren or Morris Counties had what I needed. Rt's 80 to 280 and the quick right into the Essex Green lot happenned to point directly at my destination's front door. The hardest part of the trip was the selection due to the aisle of options available which an employee was happy to help me with. Many thanks.”

“I would give them 10 stars if available because they always come to the rescue with their Pantone chips. So many people thought these guys closed. But they just moved a few blocks away from their original location on 33rd st! Lifesavers! When you’re in the middle of production and one of the colors needs to change quickly - then you need to get to Columbia. Plus they have amazing Art supplies. And their staff is friendly and knowledgeable”

“I’ve been here a handful of times for different projects and every time I’ve been welcomed warmly. There are multiple staff members who offer their help and vast knowledge in the bead making process. I’ve always walked out feeling confident in my upcoming projects. I also have to commend their warm hearts and compassionate selves, I had a medical emergency here a couple of weeks ago and every one was incredibly kind and supportive, helping me out themselves and even going so far as to help support me. I cannot thank them enough. I highly recommend going here if you’re looking for a vast range of unique and creative supplies, as well as if you’re looking for kind and knowledgeable staff!”
