“We stayed here for one night, myself my husband and our dog. The room was large and very clean, Jackie (im not sure if she is the owner or manager) checked us in. If you do travel with a dog just know the $20 pet fee is to be paid in cash. I think some of the people staying there may be there for extended stay, but everyone was very friendly and nice. The grounds were clean with plenty of space to walk our dog. The Holland American bakery is just a few minutes down the road, as is a Dunkin Donuts (but I recommend the family owned bakery). Just be aware that, even though the rooms are non smoking, the a/c units do draw in some smoke smell for people smoking outside their rooms. It was not bad though.
For the price this motel is a great value. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.”

“Had a wonderful stay with my daughter this past weekend at this quaint and charming Victorian B&B. The suite was cozy and lovely, the morning breakfast was exceptional and consisted of freshly baked scones and muffins, french toast, fruit dish, bacon and a delicious cheese omelet with coffee or tea. The host Bob was very charming and friendly and we so enjoyed our conversations with him during our stay. Highly recommend this Inn and we'll certainly return for a longer stay in the future.”
“I have been staying here for years both booking direct and air bnb. Mostly airbnb. I only minus a star because we miss the arcade. This is the best bang for your buck in a 1 1/2 hr drive from Central ”

“I had lunch for the first time at Mr. Shane's with friends. The restaurant was clean and inviting. My lobster roll was not as good as I expected. It was too tangy for my palate. The sweet potato fries were excellent, as was the tortufo for dessert. Our waitress was good, even though there was a lunch crowd. The presentation of our lunch was lovely. I didn't stay overnight so I can't comment on the rooms.”

“Personally, I think the rooms could have been clean better. For instance the shower floor had stains. The bed had little particles on it. The coffee machine in the room needs to be cleaned thoroughly it has stains all over it.
I always bring a Lysol spray and wipes as well as my own towels when I go anywhere to hotel/motel just and hygienic problem. I gave that room a deep spray and my own quick cleaning before we slept.
But overall the locate was great. The man at the front desk was okay didn’t have any issues at all. I wish I had woken up earlier to get a picture of the sun rise because it has a beautiful view.”

“The place is nothing special to look at from the outside but the room was absolutely spectacular. Who ever designed the room took special attention to every detail to make it a pleasant place to stay. Food and gas just a few miles north or south from their location.”
