“The ONLY USPS post office that answered their direct telephone line. I’ve called all the post offices in North Bergen & West New York NJ & got no answer.”
“I went to this location on last Saturday to apply for my son passport and supervisor come out and asking me what we came for today nicely and warmly. After that he told us to go to first window. The Asian lady ( sorry I forget the name ) she is very friendly and help us very quickly. Done a few minutes. I am very satisfied with customer service. I give all stars to the post office locate in sunny side. If anyone wants to apply to passport or want to send someone parcel, come to this location . They were very friendly customer service.”
“Disagree with the poor reviews. The women here are friendly, smiling and nice. The fact that tape isn't free or shipping rates are high, are by no means a reflection of these hard workers. I have a lot of time and respect for them. One time the clerk even went out of her way bc I mailed the wrong item and she had to fetch it for me after the fact. The facility is indeed old and shabby, but the workers are cheerful if you understand them.”
“This is a post office staffed by one person. Esther is the full time worker and she is phenomenal. Fast, efficient, helpful. This location has been overwhelmed since the closing of the PO on 8th and Summit, but she still manages to bang it out. I am so grateful to have Esther as part of my neighborhood and part of my work day!”
“We had a great experience applying for a passport here. They were efficient and accommodating and within 15 min. we were done! Shout out to Jessica who was so friendly and helpful.
We actually received the passport only 2 weeks later without even expediting it!”
“I had a positive experience today at the Sunnyside. It was quite busy, but the staff handled everything efficiently and kept the line moving. The person at the counter helped me quickly with my mailing (including choosing the right envelope and service), which I really appreciated.
What stood out was how they also took the time to answer quick questions from others not in line while assisting customers — not easy in a crowded setting. Overall, a smooth and positive experience despite the volume of people. Thanks to the team for keeping things moving and being helpful.
Also, places like post offices don’t always get the recognition they deserve. It takes effort from both the staff and the public to keep things running smoothly. If you’ve had a good experience, it’s worth taking a moment to acknowledge it.”
“The guy working at the counter was very friendly and efficient Helping me ship my package. I was in and out in 5 minutes. By far are the best USPS experience i’ve had in the city - well worth taking the train over from bushwick!”
“The most beautiful and clean post office I have ever stepped foot inside. Normally when I go to the post office, the workers are rude and nasty. However, my experience at this particular Post office was pleasant. I was able to apply for a passport within 15-20 mins.”
“The lady at the front office was very nice and help us to get the stamps we wanted.
She even told us to try a another USPS near to find the one she hadn't”
“Paula is the absolute BEST. Super helpful super nice best post office worker I’ve ever encountered. She also gives cookies to the dogs. I am one of the dogs. I got a cookie.”
“The lady who works at the front desk, she’s the most efficient person I’ve ever seen, she helped me and literally teaching me how to fill papers patiently, also giving me critical tips to take care of. I can’t thank her enough ! masa alkhair !”
“Sound a bit crazy but I have 5 stars because the service is not that bad. I had to drop off my package to refund and I have a QR code. There was some ppl in line but I only waifed 5 mins and the drop off was very quick”
“Post offices usually don’t have the nicest staff so what can you expect. However, Aaliyah is by far the nicest and most patient person ever. She made the experience a whole lot better. Shipment process was seamless thanks to her!”
“My experience here is a total contrast to the services the location at Paterson Plank has to offer. The staff here are courteous and accommodating. They may be doing something else but they don’t stop and make sure the line moves along. I have been here early or late in the day and the customer service has always been the same. I always drop my packages here with pre-printed labels just needing receipts. I literally just spend seconds. For anyone who has bad experience at the Paterson Plank location, you’re better off just going here.”
“We came to the Little Ferry USPS on a Saturday to get fingerprinted for a background check because my wife and I both work during the weekdays and don’t really have time then.
At first, another employee started processing our information, but after realizing it was Saturday, stopped and told us fingerprinting normally isn’t done on Saturdays and asked us to come back during the week. We understood and were about to leave.
Then an employee named Aisha stepped in and kindly said she would help us anyway. She was extremely patient, professional, and genuinely kind throughout the whole process. With a young child and busy schedules, her willingness to help us that day meant a lot.
I normally don’t leave reviews, but her kindness and customer service truly stood out. Thank you again, Aisha!”
“Never had any issues in this post office stuff was grate , best post office around the north Jersey. If you have problem here it’s not them its you or your products. I have been in so many post offices around NJ this one is the best on service.”
“Writing about my experience with customer service in sending mail, not receiving.
Sammy was very helpful. Some post offices suck, but he was helpful to me and to others as well.”
“I have to say, of all the visits to USPS I can recall in recent memory, my quick little visit this afternoon was literally the best I have ever experienced. Despite my little brain fart at the self serve kiosk, Irene greeted me with a warm smile and helped me send out my letter efficiently and with so much kindness and patience. Literally so grateful to her, and I felt compelled to tell her that the reviews you see of this place at first glance are WILDLY inaccurate. And it's not just her - I did notice her colleague behind the counter, whose name I wish I caught, give the same level of humanity to everyone he served. I didn't walk out of there just getting something done and off my plate, I walked out of there having so much more faith in humanity. If I ever need to ship something out via USPS, best believe I'll be coming here from now on.”
“I regularly bring a large number of packages to this USPS location and I truly appreciate the excellent service we always receive. Ever, Monica, and George are consistently kind, patient, and professional.
Handling multiple business packages can take time, but they always assist us with efficiency and a positive attitude. Their support makes a big difference for small businesses like ours.
Thank you for your dedication and for always helping us with care!”
“I live in Brooklyn and would rather travel to the Middle Village USPS to drop off both my packages and my mail. They are so nice and friendly compared to the 11221 Brooklyn USPS.”
“Happy to find a USPS open late and appreciate that it’s two courteous and friendly employees. Thanks Abdul! Didn’t get the name of the woman working with him but she was so helpful to the customers too. I feel this is rare in USPS nowadays so that was refreshing and appreciated. Thank you!”
“People working here are so nice and helpful!! Came here all the way from journal square after reading the Google reviews, totally worth it?Everything went smoothly for my new passport application. The application form was provided and they had the Photo Booth set up as well.”
“Art Deco Master piece as it transitioned from earlier industrial aesthetics.
constructed in 1929 primarily with buff-toned brick and limestone accents.
The building was designed by the prominent architectural firm Buchman and Kahn.
It was originally built to house the U.S. Appraisers' Stores, where imported goods were inspected and valued for customs duties.”
“Love stopping here for a quick snack and fuel! The staff is always super friendly, and I can always count on finding my favorites in stock. Plus, the clean and welcoming atmosphere makes every visit a pleasure!”
“Classic heritage style post office, pleasant employees at the window, nothing bad to say here... buy your stamps, do what you gotta do and keep it moving... don't be the jerk to clog up the line!!”
“I lived in Cliffside for 13 years and I just walked by there one day never knowing the post office was there. If anyone knows the post office on Anderson Ave near pizza corner it is never open and if it is they are so rude. Is there a phone # for this place? Only the 800 #?
Anyway 5 stars!!”
“I am going there for renew my passport and they take only 5 to 7 minute I think in Brooklyn there's a best walking place to doing anything for passport thanks”
“Everyone I’ve interacted with the past few years has been very helpful and just nice to work with at this post office - feel for the workers building needs a reno!”
“Sabrina is the best. She helped me so much. She was so nice and kind. I had and appointment yesterday at 3:45 at the post office located at 54th St they gave me a hard time and didn't help me at all. Thanks to my angel Sabrina that God send me . She help me today with everything I needed. Thank you so much Sabrina.”
“Closed for lunch daily 1:30-2:30pm so plan accordingly. It's not posted anywhere. Overall good service, the only thing is their hours aren't the most convenient.”
