We couldn’t have asked for a better daycare experience for our girls. From day one, the staff made them feel truly loved, safe, and supported. It’s clear how much thought and care goes into every activity—they learned so much and built strong relationships with their classmates and teachers. When we moved away from the area, saying goodbye to our Sowing Seeds family was the hardest part. Our daughter still talks about her teachers there and we would strongly recommend the school to anyone in the area. It is a special place and offers an experience like no other!

My daughters gets picked up everyday with the biggest smiles on their faces. The care that the teachers provide here are top notch. The teachers don’t just watch over the kids—they genuinely care. You can see it in the way they greet each child by name, how they take the time to share little updates at pickup, and how they celebrate each milestone, big or small. The level of patience and attention is very apparent here. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a trustworthy place to take your child to.

Sowing Seed is truly an amazing place, and so much more than a daycare. My son loves his teachers and all of the thoughtful activities and lessons they plan. He has learned an incredible amount, including writing his name and all of the alphabet and numbers, which seems beyond a typical pre-K 4 class. They also have wonderful extracurricular activities like soccer and basketball to ensure the kids are active during the day. We love the school and would highly recommend to everyone!

Our daughter has been at this daycare for two and a half years, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From day one, the staff has been incredibly kind, nurturing, and attentive—not just to the children, but to us as parents too. It’s clear how much love and care they put into everything they do. Watching our daughter grow, learn, and thrive in such a warm and supportive environment has been a true gift.

Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!! This kindergarten is located directly beneath a garage that’s been allowed to turn into an open racing track. Cars race above at dangerous speeds while management sits back and does nothing — if anything, they seem to encourage these reckless drivers to show off. My child’s safety is non-negotiable. The constant roaring engines, toxic air pollution, and microplastics from tire debris raining down make this place completely unfit for children. Parents, do not risk your child’s health and safety here.

Both of my sons have gone to Sowing Seed School for the 2s program and loved their experience. The teachers are so warm, welcoming and caring (shoutout to Ms. Marlin, Ms. Dora, and Ms Maureen!). It is a family environment. My sons also learned so much English while there as well as Spanish. The activities are very diverse, ranging from arts, learning ABCs, building toys, and they also offer basketball/soccer classes. When applying for kindergarten schools, the teachers and Ms. Duran were very supportive. Overall, I would highly recommend Sowing Seed!

So we moved back to NY from FL over the summer. It’s been almost 6 months. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Sowing Seed. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, creating a warm and nurturing environment especially since my little experienced some separation anxiety. We’ve seen tremendous growth in her social skills, confidence, and love for learning. The staff is all great, a big shout out to Maureen and Maribel. It’s truly a wonderful place for our daughter. I recommend it

Highly recommend Sowing Seed. Sent both my kids there (until age 3) and am completely satisfied with how much they learnt, and how well they were cared for. All the teachers are extremely loving people. The classes have fantastic diversified curriculums with tons of art, reading, music, and plenty of outdoors time. My 3 year left knowing how to spell and write his name (more or less). A perk is outdoors time- they go for plenty of walks on the boardwalk, which you won’t find almost anywhere else, I think. If you live in Port Imperial, I loved the fact that we could walk to daycare instead of drive. Kids loved that too.
Yes, there are pros and cons for prents to consider, but the pros far outweighed the cons for us at Sowing seed and you’ll never find the perfect daycare. We only left the school because we moved to suburbia, but I can say in retrospect that it’s hard to find a comparable daycare to Sowing seed in terms of both curriculum and staff. For all the loving, nurturing teachers we are very grateful!!!

Our family’s journey with Sowing Seed School has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we first saw the welcoming animal decals outside the school during our daily walks in the height of Covid, we knew this was a special place. The school emanated warmth and care, and we felt an immediate connection.
Our daughter started attending Sowing Seed School when she was just 2 years old, and the growth and development she has experienced under the tender care of the teachers and staff have been remarkable. The nurturing environment provided by the school has allowed her to flourish in ways we could have only hoped for.
The dedication and patience of the staff, led by the wonderful owner who is ever-present and attentive to both children and parents, have made a profound impact on our daughter's early education. The patience and hands-on approach at Sowing Seed creates a community where parents feel heard and supported, which is truly invaluable.
We highly recommend Sowing Seed School to any parent looking for a nurturing, supportive, and enriching environment for their child. The school has been a cornerstone in our daughter’s early years, and we are eternally grateful for the positive experiences and growth she has enjoyed.
Sowing Seed School is more than just a preschool, it’s a community that fosters love, learning, and growth in every child. We will really miss the school as our daughter embarks on the next chapter of Kindergarten in the fall.

Sending both of my kids to Sowing Seeds School for daycare, Pre-K3, and Pre-K4 was one of the best decisions we've made. As we move to another city, leaving this wonderful place is bittersweet. Every time we dropped our children off, we knew they would be taken care of in the best way possible. The school provides engaging and appropriately challenging activities that have significantly contributed to their development. Now that our children have joined a new school, it has become clear how much they have learned at SSS. They were more than ready for this new chapter with the skills they needed. SSS is known (including by other schools) for its educational and personal impact in early childhood education, and our family can attest to all of that!
Most importantly, the teachers, assistants, and staff have their hearts in the right place. Our kids adore them and will forever cherish the wonderful moments and great friends they made there. If you are lucky enough, Miss Gigi (our beloved Miss Gigi), Miss Marlin, Miss Michele, and Miss Maria Fernanda might be the ones watching, taking care of, and guiding your precious kids!
Our children are better because they went to Sowing Seeds School. Highly recommend this amazing school!

Sowing Seed School in Weehawken, New Jersey, has been an incredible place for both of my children. My daughter, Misha, started attending the school when she was 2.5 years old, and my son began when he was just 18 months old. From the very first day, the teachers made my children feel comfortable and special, creating a warm and nurturing environment that has been crucial for their development.
One standout experience has been with my daughter’s teacher, Ms. Maria. She has not only taught Misha how to write and understand science and other academic subjects, but she has also instilled in her the importance of self-love, which is something we emphasize at home. Ms. Maria's dedication and care have gone above and beyond, and we will miss her immensely, along with all the wonderful teachers at Sowing Seed.
The administrative team has always been incredibly helpful and supportive, ensuring that any concerns or questions are promptly addressed. The principal, Mrs. Duran, is wonderful and actively involved in the daily activities at the school, which creates a cohesive and caring atmosphere.
Daily walks, circle time, and academics have been wonderful, providing a balanced and enriching experience for my children. My daughter recently graduated from their Pre-K Program, and we are confident that she is well-prepared for kindergarten, equipped with all the tools and knowledge she gained at Sowing Seed.
Sowing Seed School has provided my children with a loving, educational, and supportive environment. I cannot express enough how grateful we are for the care and dedication of the entire team. Thank you, Sowing Seed, for everything!

We started our son in SSS since he was six months old. He just turned five in May and had the most amazing graduation from the PK-4 class led by Ms Maria. Having attended a daycare from an infant age myself, I was amazed by how caring and professional the staff members are. During Covid, they immediately enacted new rules for picking up and dropping off to ensure health and safety of the children. They constantly bring psychologists and medical professionals to train the staff members to strengthen their knowledge in early development and medical conditions. We’ve always received timely feedbacks from the teachers and director herself. The level of attentiveness we receive is beyond satisfactory.
When our daughter was born, we were blessed with having my parents visiting us for a full year and helping take care of the new baby. Still, we understand the difference a loving daycare environment brings and we started her in SSS when she was eight month old. She’s been cared by the same amazing Ms Kathy throughout her infant and toddler classes. I just cannot be happier with the love and care provided to both my children.
If you are by “the Gold Coast” of Port Imperial, this is the school to provide your children with the most personal care and nurturing they need as they grow up.

Our experience at Sowing Seed School has been truly amazing. Both of my daughters started in the infant room at about 4 months old and my older daughter is graduating PreK 4 this summer. We have felt like family here since the day we stepped into this school 5 years ago. The teachers are the most loving people I could ask for and many of the teachers have been there since we started, and have worked with and taken care of both of my children. We used to live on the waterfront and when we moved during covid, we decided to continue to go to this school even though it was not the most convenient for us any more, as we couldn’t imagine any other daycare/preschool giving us that same experience. Love and compassion always comes first in everything they do, while still having a huge emphasis on curriculum. The teachers treat the kids/babies as if they were their own children which always gives me great comfort considering our kids spend so much time there! Thank you SSS for offering an amazing place for my kids to grow, learn, and always feel loved!
