“This is such a great market but they get weird during the cup because they wanna make money. It's a 5-star location because of how open and welcome it seems, until the games start. Then they put walls and board up the place to eat because everyone wants to watch the game, but not everyone is allowed to and that gives a very weird energy that doesn't match the good side of Brazil, but more the ugly, conservative side.
That aside, the products are all great and legitimate, the food is hyper regional and authentic and I would gladly go anytime they're not putting up walls and deciding who gets to watch the game

“I always shop here, my parents even started shopping here faithfully. Sometimes we don’t know where an item is but the associates and cashiers always get us what we’re looking for. I’ve been shopping here for YEARS and I mostly cash out at the register with Stephanie. She always so welcoming and kind making sure I got everything I was looking for. She’s amazing!! I remember going there on her day off and was so disappointed that I missed her! Her personality was made for greeting guests and making this supermarket feel like home. 10/10 my fruits and veggies are always fresh and doesn’t spoil the next day.”
“It's amazing that it's small and has everything. The other day I needed a light bulb that burned out and they had it. Another time I went to buy an ingredient I needed to make a cake and they had it. Always beautiful, clean and organized. Congratulations everyone!”

“I had such a positive experience at Lily's Vegan Pantry. Ever since moving out to the East Coast, I have wanted to stop in to see their variety of inventory, and I was finally able to get that opportunity. The store is located in Chinatown, and I originally walked in, said hello to the owner, and started to walk around to see the store. I started to take a few photos of the products they offered to post later to my "foodie" Instagram account when the owner came up to me as I was the only one in the store. Our conversation was very nice as I got to know a little about her background, as well as just have a casual conversation about all-things vegan/vegetarian. The store has been open for about 31 years now, and was originally created by the now-owner's parents, so the store has been family-run the entire time. The owner is vegetarian, but knows some great vegan spots in the area, as well as offer a great variety in vegan products. They have popcorn, beef jerky, Asian snacks, & a large selection of frozen/refridgerated vegan proteins. There is a good mix of more "mainstream" vegan brands, along with brands with delicious-looking vegan products. My only regret is that I didn't empty my entire wallet as to try everything in the store. I will 100% be back soon to try some of those vegan proteins. I highly recommend checking this store out if you're in Manhattan. The owners are extremely friendly, the store is very cute, & they have all the vegan foods you could ever ask for (especially if you liked Asian flavors!).”

A heart attack if they didn't give me water or a chair for me to get myself together I would drop rt there but I made it half way home when I started to get dizzy I call 911 an they came anyway thank you for your kindness an so beautiful treatment with your wonderful staff thank you my mom is feeling better an I just love 💕 your all for helping my mom out. “Matko boska! The selection and prices here are very good. I will return to this establishment and Polish district overall. I would however check the expiration date on things to make sure they aren't already expired before you buy. I bought about 50 items and I only found 1 or 2 that were expired but a few that would be expiring within the next 60 days. The other problem here is the lady that works there is from the communist Poland era so don't expect any good customer service skills. She seems annoyed at having to work here and isn't willing to help much, probably didn't get any Biden bucks.”
