While shopping in TJ Maxx the other day I was very happy with the amount of holiday items. Everything from ornaments to mugs to specialty food items. The store was pretty messy for really not being busy, but I suppose that's expected during this time of year. Maybe they are understaffed, even though I saw a lot of employees on the floor. I guess they just dont bend over to get all the clothes and hangers off the floor as my wheels of my car kept getting stuck on all the items they weren'tpicking up. I picked up 3 very nice holiday themed blankets to give as gifts. 2 had tags and the original cardboard wrapper showing the brand name, etc. One did not and it was the last of its kind that I saw. Upon ringing up my items (a cart FULL of stuff, these were not the only purchase I was making) I asked the cashier if I could have a price check somehow as not all the blankets were the same price. I explained to her it was the only one I saw. She called over her manager, a very grumpy woman named Elizabeth. Elizabeth proceeded to tell me *without going for herself to see if another blanket of the same size and image with tags was available* that "Its the same price as those" so I asked "Ok so can you mark it down since there's no tags? If I'm going to gift this to someone it looks like it came straight off my couch with no tags or brand label on it" and she told me "Just because there's no tags dont mean it's used" and she walked away. I told the cashier she can keep the blanket, if I'm buying it looking used at least cut a better deal. My cashier was very friendly, I didnt catch her name. She wrapped all my fragile items with care and bagged everything perfectly for me. Overall I'd rate this store a 5/10.

rude cashier on top of the fact the employee refused to even check if the item was marked down though it’s been there since september! Even if i was the most annoying customer on earth it didn’t hurt her to check for 2 seconds if it was marked down! i understand how tj maxx markdown policy works and i’ve never !! been treated like that before.

Slow & hardly any selection. Nothing unusual. Unhelpful register salesperson and manager was short and disorganized. Won’t return.

I always go shop to tjmaxx and never had this type of situation Wish I could give them 0 starts went to shop there last week for my anniversary dinner I got 2 dresses they were about to close I tried them really quick and got them bc I was in a hurry the day of the anniversary tried both dresses decided to wear one of them BC the white one I got was see thru unfortunately and yesterday finally got time to go and return it and I fell discriminated everyone has the right to return something in case doesn't fit or any other reason thats the reason a 30 days return Exist!!
the cashier which "helped me" wasn't nice at all keep staring and Analyzing the dress when I never wore it and keep trying to say that I was lying about the tag like wtf? I barely have time after work I felt disrespected why would I want to steal 16.99 dollars I just wanted to exchange not even a refund she proceed to call the manager and she corrected her but both keep insisting that they don't sell that dress brand asking me what location did I get from when it clearly says where in the receipt and is this exactly location.I am a manager of a restaurant and I will never handle a situation like this very unprofessional management

This store is nice. There is lots to browse. The products are all over the place. Many items had no price tags. You really need to take your time when looking for good items.
