FIRST TIME AND DEFINITELY RETURNING CUSTOMER! Had an excellent experience with Avis car rental! We rented a Kia Telluride and drove all the way to Arizona and back in total comfort. The ride was smooth, spacious, and perfect for a long trip.
One of the best parts was how affordable it was to fill up—only about 18 gallons max, which kept fuel costs low.
A huge shoutout to Silvia, who helped us during both pick-up and drop-off. He was amazing and truly made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable.

“I didn't realize at first this location wasn't the one attached to the airport, but I'm so glad I rented from here. This was the least stress I felt getting a rental car. They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I fly to ABQ annually, and I'll be renting from here going forward.
**You need to take an Uber from ABQ airport. They do not offer complimentary transport.”

“Vehicle was good and any problems I had I was able to call them and they took care of it but they did hit me with a one-way seat which I was not expecting. Unfortunately my trip went from a go and visit someone and fly back home into a I'm going to have to drive a bunch of stuff home across the entire country and they did not seem to really care”

“We ordered a convertible mustang.
When we picked up the car they tried to put me in another mustang that wouldn't work. We had 2 full size suitcases and needed to put one in the back seat and had to put the top down to put in the car. The person at the counter said someone else was getting the one I rented. After discussing she relented and gave me the only convertible. The vehicle was damaged from previous renters and had permanent marker x over damaged area. After sitting in the sun the first day it brought out a foul smell. It smelled like someone had thrown up in the car. We had to wipe it down and clean with bleach twice before we could get rid of the smell. The car performed well and we enjoyed being able to put the top down. Return was easy and seamless. All Rentals are 1.5 miles from terminal so you have to take a shuttle to and from rental areas. The shuttle was Efficient and moved everyone quickly.
Overall I would rent at this location again.”

“The experience of picking up the car was a bit rocky. Gold member board indicated we needed to see someone at the desk. Waited at the Gold member counter for a while without seeing anyone, and finally went to the main counter. There I received prompt help and an explanation. It seems that, as a Gold member, I am not supposed to check in ahead of time as prompted by the emails and text messages I received from Hertz.(frustrating!) Doing so messes up Gold member reservations. Anyway, the issue was quickly resolved and all was great from there. The car I wanted was still held for me. It was clean, fairly new, and was perfect for the 8 days of traversing NM and CO. Returning the car was, as always, a breeze.”
“After reserving a car on line and paid in advanced we were denied pick up due to only having a ATM Visa card. Which we have done in the past with other agencies! We were told by the agent the reservation would be cancelled and our refund would take 7-14 days. After leaving we decided to call the 800 number to confirm it was cancelled and were told it was not cancelled and now since it was past the pick up time we needed to pay an additional $100 to cancel. This phone call took over an hour and I had to ask for a supervisor 5 times. This car was needed to get to Colorado were our family member is dying. I have never been treated so rudely. And J am sure the car we had rented was already on the road with another rented before my cancellation call was completed. I will never do business with this company again.”

“Reserved a car through Expedia that same morning because my truck was stolen. Went to pick it up. All out of cars. Canceled my reservation that same day. Again tried to make a same day reservation through Expedia. Went to pick up the car and spoke Kyle. He said come back tomorrow we’ll have one for you and don’t cancel the reservation. Went back the next day spoke with Kyle. Told him this is my third day here. I explained the situation about my truck being stolen. He said I’m sorry you went through that. Gave me an upgrade to a mid size at a discounted rate. Kyle made my day. Kyle at the Thrifty rental car at the Sunport is amazing. Thank you for hiring an empathetic and kind human being.”
