“I got my tires changed over there. Usually when a small girl like me shows up, the mechanics can try to rack up the prices. But they were super friendly, flexible with their time, and transparent about the costs. After they installed the new tires they told me my front right wheel and my spare wheels were slightly warped. They offered to change it for free when I bought the new wheels. They also taught me how to use the car tools to lower the spare if I ever needed it. I will definitely come back when it's time to change the tires of my other car!”
“The staff a Pete's always takes care of their customers. If I have any questions or problems CJ and his folks will make sure I have all the facts so I can make the right decision. They've taken care of everything from tire replacement to engine repair, and even ignition repair when someone attempted to steal my vehicle at my apartment. If Pete's doesn't handle a problem you can always rely on the business they recommend. And when I need a UHaul vehicle I always get it from Pete's.”
“I'd like to express how grateful I am for Dave at Brakes Unlimited. He was so kind and understanding when my daughter needed someone with not only old car experience but Dad experience.
My UNM student daughter took her 1999 corolla to a Jiffy Lube for an oil change and they up sold her a brake fluid flush. She started having issues very soon after that. She even took it back to Jiffy Lube (different location) and they said it was fine but was low on the brake fluid. They topped her off and she went on her way, still having issues.
Then a few days later while driving to work, she came to an intersection and could not stop her car. By the grace of God she was able to swerve in the next lane and pull the Emergency brake. There was a Pep boys at this intersection and she pulled the car in there. They gave her an inspection and an estimate but they couldn't find the part they needed to repair what they said was damaged.
I live in California and I am trying to deal with this situation and my daughter who now thinks her car is dead forever from all the way over here and I have zero knowledge of any businesses in Albquerque. So I do a quick Google search and Brakes Unlimited pops up. I don't even know where it's located in relation to the Pep Boys the car is at. But what I see on the search is, 25+ years experience and lots of good reviews. I called and spoke to Dave and he told me to have the car towed into his shop and he would do his best to figure out what can be done. He gave me piece of mind as well because he understood the parental heartache of not being physically there to help guide your child.
Dave looked at the car and put it though all the tests and what he found was that, Jiffy Lube had closed the bleeder valve but had not tightened it and the second Jiffy Lube didn't catch either. Why Pep Boys didn't see it and said the entire hard line had to be replaced, we will never know. Dave could have gone off of what had already been diagnosed and charged us for it and we would never have known. But he didn't. He is truly an honest man with stand up morals.
Brakes Unlimited doesn't just do brakes either! They do lots of other work too. Even though the shop is completely across town from the UNM campus, my daughter will be taking her car to Dave at Brakes Unlimited for anything it ever needs. She is going to drive that '99 until the wheels fall off! Thank you Dave.”
“Sam and his crew are your Bimmie Balm. He isn't afraid to think through an issue and find the root cause. Unlike the local dealership, who's service writers have a monetary incentive to sell you service you don't need and the techs may or may not fix what you asked, German Precision has the enthusiasm and work ethic that is so hard to find in dealerships.
I would come to Sam even for a vehicle under warranty because you can trust him to fix it right. His rates are very reasonable and down-right a bargain compared to the local dealer who will rob you and very likely not fix your car correctly.”

We were sent a video of what was done and completed. Pick up was just as easy as drop off. No stress. No hassle. They even washed our vehicle. Jonathon was professional through the whole process. Spoke with one of the gentlemen sales reps (forgot his name). He was very friendly and nice to talk with. He offered us the great coffee you serve in the lobby. “I just want to say Silver star is one of the best German specialist place honestly its a special place a little costly but worth it if you really want to take your car to a place where they'll care about it just as much as you'll I would take your car here you can take your cars anywhere else but it ain't going be like here they care about you here I needed my car by a certain date due to my other car being on the way out they fixed my issue the first time not like the other shop i had taken it to another shop they had stated the same issue but only fixed partially the issue to get me to go back but no I didn't go back there not gonna mentioned where the place is but this place is awesome Silver star Haus you guys are the Man any major repair come here to get your vehicle fixed they will fix it the first time.”
