“I recently completed the New Mexico concealed carry course through Omni Arms / Desert Thunder Academy, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the overall experience. The program is extremely well-structured, starting with a convenient online portion that I was able to take entirely on my own schedule. The material was engaging and easy to follow, and it held my attention enough that I completed all the modules and tests in a single day. Being able to work at my own pace, whether at home or at work, made the process both flexible and enjoyable.

The in-person portion at the shooting range was equally impressive. The instructors provided both .45 caliber semi-auto pistols and .45 caliber revolvers at no extra charge, which allowed me to qualify with the highest caliber option in both firearm types. Thanks to this, I’m now qualified to carry either style of handgun—.45 caliber and any caliber below it—which was a huge bonus.

Jake Melidones, the head instructor, is exceptionally knowledgeable. He was extremely well-informed and able to answer every question thrown his way with confidence and clarity. Jake and his staff maintained firm safety standards and clear expectations throughout the course, yet they balanced that professionalism with patience, approachability, and a sense of fun. They even incorporated a friendly target competition toward the end of the day, which added a great mix of challenge, entertainment, and practical learning.

The course was affordable, well-run, and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a concealed carry class in New Mexico. I haven’t had the chance to shop at Omni Arms yet, but I definitely plan to—because based on how they treat their students, it’s clear they value their customers and hold themselves to a high level of respect and professionalism.”

I recently visited BMC Tactical on Menaul looking for a lower receiver for an ARP build, and the entire team went above and beyond. Jason and Nate hopped right on it, helping me pick out the exact right piece for my budget. When we moved to the register, Troy did a great job handling my application and getting me rung up smoothly.

While I waited, Nate was super helpful—he was more than happy to answer all my questions, shared his own valuable experiences with my type of build, and even showed me some extra goodies to consider (which I naturally ended up buying!). My first visit was an absolute breeze.

The next week during my waiting period, I did some more research and decided to swap out one of the parts. I called ahead to make sure Troy (who was handling the assembly) wouldn't install it, and Gabby did an exceptional job passing along that communication right away.

When pick-up day came, Troy carefully examined my new part for compatibility to ensure the build process would go off without a hitch. Meanwhile, Gabby and Jason seamlessly processed my refund for the returned part. Once again, I left BMC with a huge smile on my face.

I am super excited for my upper to come in so I can bring it back to these guys for the final touches. I completely trust them, and I look forward to what I know will be a top-tier final product. Highly recommend!”

“Had Charlie build me custom rifle started out as a Remington 700 LA had it re barreled and threaded, blue printed I took in my parts he put it together Charlie is very precise with his work, after picking it up took me 7 months to finally shoot it well it is a shooter .25 moa all day long at 100yds stretched it out to a 1000yds no problem Charlie takes awhile building a rifle but he does it right if your patient he will build you a very nice rifle”

“I bought a gun from these guys what I thought was 2 years ago, but it turns out I bought it in 2020. My gun jammed and I went in the other day, and these guys fixed it for free and told me how to clean my gun. I couldn't pick up my gun until after they closed, and the owner waited for me until I got there. I have bought other accessories from these guys over the years, and they are a great local company to support. My wife will be getting her gun her shortly. Great products and great customer service. “Store definitely needs a lil help, distribution centers for the store in Utah i believe they ship from need to package and take better care of their product. So in all id give the store a 1 star only reason for the 4 star is a man named Damir. Which is a district manager of sorts reached out to me after a survey and made things right after getting my boat delayed after two came broken and the last came scratched up before it even left the store. Damir offers the best customer service and is the only reason im not giving a one star, he made the worst experience the best and I recommend bass pro shop follows his lead in bettering quality and sales.”
