Plato's Closet is a super organized consignment store with a huge selection of trendy and designer styles. It is not your typical secondhand clothing store, offering really great inventory at up to 70% off mall prices. Many customers always find something cool they want and have a great experience, noting the efficient and kind staff. The store buys gently used clothing, but is quite picky on name brands and some find they do not give a lot for trade-ins, as they have specific protocols and cannot take certain items. While some prices are noted as a little high, there are also great deals to be had, keeping customers coming back.
I always find super cute clothes here, it takes self control not to visit more often. You’d obviously make more money off your used clothes if you sold them elsewhere, but if your goal is simply to donate them, it’s pretty sweet to get cash that goes towards new finds. Not sure why the reviews are so cranky lol.

snottiest manager … ageist and rude. Said she went through my bags when she did not. Told me my dresses were too mature for there when in fact I bought them there recently. I took everything to another Plato’s and they took everything.

The workers were nice but the negotiated price wasn't the greatest.. but all in all, the visit was good..
