After a month working with Coach Summer, I can stand up tall, breathe better, and move pain free! I am so grateful, coming here after a year of not being able to do anything without intense nerve pain. Coming here changed everything. This safe place gets you back to your foundations and heal your body. It's therapeutic, but at the same you build strength. I highly recommend this wonderful place for anyone who needs better posture, somatic work, or a solution to their pain.

These classes are wonderful. You really learn how to isolate your body parts and muscle groups and to use them correctly. Totally changed the way I move, and greatly improved my posture. Great improvement in my back and neck pain.

Fantastic experience here, especially during COVID-19. All classes are held socially-distanced, hand sanitizer at the door, masks mandatory and students on mats spaced out appropriately. If you're not big on going to the gym, but need to move your body or just do something to get that couch-fat off, this is a great choice. The exercises here are focused on getting your body moving correctly and geared towards folks who aren't ready for intense work-outs. Instructors provide corrections in small classes so you can be sure you're doing things right. After just a few weeks of classes, I've already lost weight and my muscle pain has been reduced. Well worth it.

Life as an active individual has resulted in various accidents/falls/injuries. At 70 yrs. old, I was afraid I would be unable to continue to enjoy the active lifestyle I had previously enjoyed. After a fall 1 1/2 yrs ago, my body seemed to have lost its structural integrity. In addition, I was unable to recover following exercise/activity. My fear was that I would prematurely turn into a feeble old woman. Square One Fitness and its Basic Movement has saved my active life and will now allow me to age gracefully. It is nothing short of miraculous. Learning to breathe using the IPA (inter-abdominal pressure) technique coupled with the exercises to stabilize my spine and torso, I now feel prepared to return to my exercise program and daily activities. Learning proper core activation gives me a body awareness which then gives me the confidence to move forward. Sharon is a gifted trainer with the knowledge to assist young and old, from the barely active to the sports enthusiast, recover from and prevent injuries. EVERYONE can benefit from this training.

Intelligent Movement describes what I learned from coach Sandy best! I had no clue! She presented a whole new world of movement. I learned how important proper breathing is to my core. Through patterns of proper body movement I learned about core stabilization. She sent me videos for practice along with notes and tips, personalized for me. I highly recommend her classes to anyone who wants to improve their quality of life. Thank you Coach Sandy!
