Absolute worst bank ever teller is rude and the manager Maritza is rude and condescending refused to notarize a paper that she very easily could’ve as the next bank we went to had no problems with the document and notarized , the teller also refused to print two pieces of paper . will be switching banks can’t believe they treat their members who have been with the them for years the way they do. Not to mention they always give us a hard time depositing a check every single month from the same company we’ve had for over a year

After getting a new card I waited 2 days to use it and was faulty chip was barely working and swiping the card it wouldn't work at all I had to pay the fee to order a new card when they gave me one that didn't work.

I have had an account with this credit union for 20 years. I have never had a hot check or insufficient funds. Every month I deposit checks totaling $13000 at an ATM. It is not convenient for me to come to the bank. At the beginning of the month, I had $10,000 in my savings account but I had to transfer some of this money to my checking as there was a 3 day hold on these checks and I have several things I need to take care of at the first of the month. After these funds were not released, I called and they said the hold is now until Monday and I would have to call the manager to get these funds released. I called the manager, Janet, and left a message and she has not responded.

In 10 years I have not had a problem with SECU. Compared to commercial banks ( across the board thumbs down) almost any credit union is better With some exceptions Che k my o e star rating if Sandra area cu). There are CU out there that are legal ripoffs that sell you auto or home I durable through an affiliate for profit Insurance company, again see my yelp rating for Sandra Area cu and their own Sandra Insurance LLC. Quite a clever little scam, but apparently legal.But New Mexico SECU is a great place. There might be an occasional one on o BB d issue but institutionally they are fine, and no little scams, and no hidden wags to take a secret profit. Five Stars, absolutely. And no, I am not an employee

I found a fraudulent purchase on my account. I called in to the Fraud Department and the moronic operator -- after my telling her that waiting 7-10 business days for a new card was inconvenient -- transferred me to someone else "who could help me get an instant issue." The second operator was extremely rude and told me that they can't do an instant issue and that it would take 14 business days! Then when I questioned the level of fraud protection, she stated that this would be my fifth card, as if to point a finger of shame at me -- the customer -- for being victimized by scam artists! It's looking like I need to change credit unions.

The branch I have had to deal with was very different from other people's experience. The manager and the loan officer told me conflicting information. I wanted a low interest loan but the one offered had 7% interest, this was 2 years ago.The next year, I deposited a check and was told there would be a hold but the manager could release some of the funds. I could not pick up my mother's ashes because the entire check was held for 10 business days. The manager never called and never got any of the multiple messages I left with their office in Santa Fe about getting enough money to pay just for the funeral home. They do not answer the phones at the locations of their branches, they answer all calls at a call center.When I went in to close my accounts, the manager was completely ignorant of anything that had happed while they were holding my funds for 2 full weeks or at least that's how she acted. They call you members but I NEVER felt like a member.

I can't call out one person's name as the service that I have gotten over the years at SECUNM has been outstanding. I love the team that I deal with in Rio Rancho (Enchanted Hills). I have two car loans with great interest rates, and do all my direct deposits there. I have had trouble with their phone app and I said so...and they listened! It is sometimes difficult to get someone on the phone, but I realize that they are busy like everyone else, and I always get a call back. I'm happy to be a member and recommend them to anyone looking for a "home-town" type atmosphere.
