“First time here or in any comics shop, since my mid teens. I remember when comics were seven cents and how I was P/O'd when the price went to 10 cents. Amazed at the quantity and quality of comics these days. Seem to be fewer pages, but the artwork is still First class. Bought Batman comics for two of my grandson's. I'll be going back to browse again.”
“I drop in from time to time with the family to pick up stuff here. The owner and his assistant are top notch down to Earth individuals that are very knowledgeable. They have an unbelievable selection of new and used rare and scarce but also current items at prices I believe are very reasonable.”

There is a 25 cent toy bin and even items (like Funko Pops) with a “Free” sticker (the secret is you have to look). Prices are reasonable (LOTS of toys under $10), staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and inventory is always changing!”

“The friendly local gaming store,with pokemon, heroclix, mtg, cookie run, one piece, board games, swag, miniatures and more. Touraments, game nights, and regular events all week, check them out on their Facebook page. Just played a collector booster draft night and itbwas great.”
“I've previously bought gifts from here, including 'Woodie Man' for my young nephew. My nephew's friend loved Woodie Man, so I went in to buy another. It was out of stock, but the storekeeper gave me his demonstration model. It made my week and demonstrates the type of kindness this world needs more of! 🙏🫶🏻”

“We had our kiddo's 9th birthday party here, and it was probably one of the best kid's parties we've done. It was both low-key and extremely fun, with not one moment of boredom (in fact, we had to rush a bit at the end to squeeze everything in, the kids were having so much fun). The space was clean, set up, and even decorated with birthday banners. Rick led our party and handled the kids like a pro. The best part for us though was unlike other places where there may be multiple parties going on at the same time with a ton of people, here you get a comfortable, private space where the kids can spend quality time with their friends. Truly, highly recommend!
For others info: we had 6 kids and a handful of parents, and felt we had plenty of space. I could see it feeling tight if you had a larger crowd.”

“Stop reading and just bring your kids. This is a hidden gem in Old Town, the employees, selection and atmosphere are amazing. Bugzbys is the highlight of the kids trips, they can run, explore and find the “keys” (you will see) all while supporting a local business. Go there buy something and you will get it. It’s a 10/10 idea for a hot or rainy day, trust me. Warning: all real toys and games, dangerous for “screen” kids.”
“7-years-later update: My original review holds true. I really enjoy talking with the employees. Wiley is still super great. They host fewer events than before and I wish their weekend hours were a little longer, but man the events they host are always smoothly run. Always a blast to go in and hang for a bit.
Great store to buy lots of product at, all kinds of games and comics. Staff is sometimes less than friendly, but overall is good. Wiley is a great guy and a great judge for Magic events. The owners are legit cool.”
“We all know Lakeshore is pricey but it's the only teacher store here in Albuquerque (that I know of) Ingo here to get items I can't fine anywhere else. The cashiers are always nice and friendly and will help you find what you need. They also have lots of stuff in sale right now for Back to School.”
“This space hosts the Albuquerque Game Developers Guild meetings every Tuesday night and meets our needs perfectly. Albuquerque can sometimes seem behind the times or bogged down by political or economic issues, but being here feels like you're living in a flourishing, modern city. (Which we are--I'm just a bit cynical.) I wish I lived downtown so the drive wouldn't be so far, but it's always worth it!”

“Good store! The selection was so extensive it was almost overwhelming – one could spend a good few hours looking at everything they have. I was able to find 3 great posters for media that usually doesn't have posters, so huge win there! Only con is that everything is really expensive.”

“I remember a time when you had to go to either a flea market, go across town to a specialty shop, or shop online to get art, novelties, T-shirts, and unique merchandise with your favorite anime, movies, music artists, and gaming characters. This place has it all! They have an amazing array of figurines, art, anime merch, Pops, T-shirts, posters, even swords, and knives! Oh yeah this place is awesome! I can't begin to tell how low large of selection they have. They even offer various imported items. It's easy to get wrapped up in there because there's a little something for everyone. The wall art is amazing and fair priced. Whether your a true Anime lover, Bob Marley fan, or even just an art fan you'll find something for you there. There are a lot of signs that say "Do Not Touch, Ask for assistance" signs around and it's a little off putting but it makes sense because they have a lot of unique items. If your at cottonwood mall check them out! They are a few stores down from the Dillard's next to Africa Way.”
