“I want to start by saying thank you to all the staff at Rio Bravo Vet for being so sympathetic to my family loosing our fury baby. They were very kind in helping us navigate this difficult decision to put him down and with cremation arrangements. Without their help it would have been even harder for my family. They handled all arrangements for us. When our Kwasi was back for us to pick up we were showered with condolences cards, paw prints and even some of his fur! This ment so much to my daughters! Thank you Rio Bravo for being so kind during this difficult time!”

I also really appreciate Marilyn, who has spoken with me on the phone more than once and was so kind and reassuring in a moment of panic. If these amazing women could be my personal medical team, too, I’d be stoked- and spayed! 😜

“UPDATE-3 (May 2026): I credit Eye Care for Animals for saving my cat's eye where another Vet totally misdiagnosed Jack's problem. We go back every year for a check and so far, so good. I always feel like these folks know what they are about and do a thorough job of checking Jack and providing him with the right meds and advice. Jack has also quit drinking and smoking since we started there! Amazing. Both Jack and I highly recommend them!
UPDATE-2: These guys are the best. they really care about my cat and it shows. They also are applying their experience and lab results to examine Jack. So much better than other vets I have used in ABQ!
UPDATE-1: I wish I had come here sooner with my cat. My experience is that if your pet shows any eye issues, don't hesitate. I credit ECfA with saving my cars eye. These folks know what they are doing and are caring and reasonably priced as well. Love these guys. Recommend them highly”
“Our sweet dog received years of good care from Dr. Flower. Ignacio lived with congestive heart failure and when he became too sick , my husband and I trusted Dr.Flower to give him the compassionate care to die peacefully. She and her staff provided care for us too, as we grieved his passing. A very special clinic.”
“I was seen very quickly as a walk in for urgent care and my dog was taken care of with kindness and compassion by all staff. It felt like everyone genuinely cared and did their best to help us. we are very thankful. For urgent care services it was affordable and they discussed payment with me before proceeding. Front desk staff told me about Cherry so I was able to pay in installments through their app with no interest, which is amazing. Very much recommend petroglyph!!”

“Great pet store! It's clean and organized. Everything was easy to find. They have a wide variety of treats, toys, and pet supplies. The self wash dog bath was clean and easy for my dog to get in and out. Their shampoo and conditioner for the dog wash, smelled amazing! My dogs coat was fluffy and soft afterwards. The staff are professional and treat you pet with kindness while getting their nails trimmed. Best full service pet store in NE ABQ!”
“I can’t say enough of about this place! I had been taking my 15 year old dog for routine care for about 4 months and they were great then! My little old girl wasn’t doing well and I brought her in for some labs. She had end stage kidney disease and I had to make the incredibly hard choice we all dread when we spend so much time with our furry best friends. I had a 30 min appointment slot which turned into 2 hrs while saying goodbye. We all know veterinarians and vet techs have patients back to back….but You wouldn’t even know that the vet and staff had any other appointments booked because they were all so attentive to me and there was no rush in that time of need. They made an incredibly hard experience I have never had to do in life yet feel graceful and comfortable making me feel good about my decision. From the talk of options, the front desk staff showing me urn options, giving my girl some waffle fries from chick fil a (those were her favorite), to coming back to pick up her ashes…..thank you so much to everyone at Sandia Animal Clinic! I will never forget that moment.”

“Took my cat in for her first vet appointment since I’ve had her and the place was very clean they were very patient with her as she is a skiddish cat when she’s in a new place took the time to explain to me everything that was going on what they were gonna do and explained my aftercare instructions very well would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a fur baby in need of some care and it really was priced at a reasonable amount absolutely would recommend”
“We were very pleased with Dr Grey's approach in treating Honey. Her pleasant, friendly and professional bedside manner as well as her care was superb. Also, the Tech who assisted Dr. Gray was friendly and pleasant as well as thorough. The other employees at Four Paws who we encountered were pleasant and helpful.
We appreciated Dr. Gray's thoroghness in Honey's examination. She provided us with information and guidance for us to use in her diagnosis of Honey's arthritis.

“I have been taking my two dogs there for a few years now. Most recently, the last few times I've been lucky enough to see Dr Maxim, she has spent a few extra minutes going over my concerns about my dogs. I can't say enough how happy I am that she gives the extra care. I had no idea that my dog needs to be on a senior dog food and how he was a few pounds overweight because of this! She made several suggestions that would increase their longevity and well-being. I can't thank her enough! Thank you Dr Maxim! You're a true caregiver and wonderful person.”
“Wanted to leave a review for the staff and especially Dr. Kiki. I brought my cat Brooks in when she started showing signs that something was neurologically wrong. She was walking like she was drunk. The staff there first of all was so sweet and compassionate with myself and Brooks. They sent off some bloodwork to do some testing but over the weekend my Brooks stopped walking and had a seizure. After letting Dr. Kiki know what was going on, she has gone out of her way to call and check on Brooks every single day and always kept me informed on different options, especially with my limited funds. This is the first vet I’ve been to where I feel like they actually care about my cat and aren’t trying to nickel and dime me every step of the way. Today, on a combination of meds from Dr. Kiki, my Brooks was able to walk over to me (with an unsteady gait still) and head butt me and purr. A couple days ago she couldn’t even lift her head up. We still have a long road ahead of us but I know I have a clinic that has my back if need be. Thanks guys”

“My dog, Raider, is very anxious in any vet’s office & requires anti-anxiety meds before going. The tech & the Dr @ this office were so calm & patient with him! They told me he did great while in the back briefly without me & gave me details of how he did & how they handled him. I felt very safe & comfortable with him in their care. And then Dr Mount spent a good amount of time telling us what she discovered & best treatment options & how to proceed from there. I was extremely pleased with their knowledge & care!!!! And I was also highly impressed with how much info they already had on him from communication with his reg vet prior to our appt. They were clearly very thorough with their prep (better than any PCP or specialist I’ve ever gone to personally).
Raider wasn’t thrilled, but he also wasn’t petrified. ☺️
I’d highly recommend this office!!!!”

“Had my second visit at this clinic today and I have to say they are great! Both of my visits have been ACC exams (free exams they provide if you adopt a dog from a city shelter). Both times my new pet required more than just a “wellness” check and I quickly found out they are one of the few places that will still do a free exam. Other clinics will charge a fee as soon as you mention any issues going on with your new pet. All the staff and both doctors I’ve seen have been very friendly and good at what they do. My pup today needed antibiotics and the price was very reasonable.”

Our thirteen-year-old chihuahua was showing signs of cognitive decline, and Dr. Hannah Doran, explained everything so clearly and kindly — no jargon, just patience and warmth. She took her time with every question we had, never rushing us. You could feel how much she truly cared, and that meant everything to us!
