About Ski Apache

Ski Apache, located on Sierra Blanca, offers a premier skiing experience with its high elevation of over 12,000 feet and the Gazebo The Top at 11,500 feet. Known for having some of the best skiing weather in North America, it receives over 15 feet of snowfall annually, providing ideal conditions for winter sports. The resort boasts 55 runs and trails, with 20% for experts, 60% for intermediates, and 20% for beginners, served by 11 lifts, including New Mexico's only passenger gondola to the top. Enhanced snow-making extends to the summit, ensuring good snow coverage during the season. The vertical drop is 1,900 feet, with over 750 skiable acres. During the off-season, visitors can hike or explore the area, which has mostly recovered from recent fires, though some dead trees remain. Trails lead toward Lookout Mountain and Sierra Blanca, offering stunning views and a memorable outdoor experience. While skiing is seasonal and weather-dependent, the area is accessible for hiking year-round. Visitors have also enjoyed zip-lining with friendly guides, who provide engaging history and make the experience fun. Overall, Ski Apache combines scenic beauty, diverse activities, and excellent facilities, making it a notable destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
