“I had an emergency accident and Angel at the front desk provided excellent communication and customer service. Their mechanic Lupe stayed late to get it my truck done so we could get to our next gig. I highly recommend them!”
“I came in at 9:00 p.m. at night wanting to drop off some transmission oil in their oil receptacle, but they said they don't take transmission oil. Fortunately, one of the workers said he could take it so he could burn it in his first gen Ram. The staff was really nice to me.”
“Great respect to shorts wrecker service. The lady i was able to speak to on the phone set me up and had a flatbed to pick up my truck asap. Great service and prices, driver was great guy, will highly recomend thier services.”
“I've had negative experiences in the past, but this store is making some very positive changes. The customer service has greatly improved. Today I was immediately greeted and offered assistance in finding the parts I needed for my project. Payton was especially helpful and knowledgeable! If you've had bad experiences in the past, like I have, consider giving AutoZone in Carlsbad another chance to earn your business.”
“I have been taking my vehicles to Stony's Body Shop for quite some time. They do great job on bodywork on my vehicles. If you need someone to do body work , they're the people to do it. They treat you well. Great work!!”
“The guys at the store were great
They were knowledgeable and even gave me a few suggestions And got the part in when they said it would be
unfortunately the online ordering system may need to be looked at”
“My car wasn’t starting and I had both my kids with me. It was very hot today and Shelina helped us out. She went above and beyond to help me and my kids. They were the only auto part store that was willing to help us out during the hottest part of the day!”
“Got my bumper repainted almost a year ago, brought it back in because of a minor defect, they did not hesitate to amend it. They got me in a month later, and they even polished and washed the exterior of my car. Highly recommend, excellent customer service throughout.”
“Big shoutout to Dom! He helped me with the exact battery I wanted and changed mine out even though they were a little busy. Excellent service and attitude. He said if you want a good attitude, give a good attitude. Yessir young man. Thank you!”
“¡I couldn’t believe my good fortune (if you consider having a flat tire “good fortune”)!
It had been a long day, 24AUG2024, for me because I was up doing roof work on my home before Sun rise/prepping for departure/to go East for family emergency. During my exhausting 180mile/290kms motor to CarlsbadNM, I did take a couple of diversions off Montana/US62-180 and few were off road—but I did go through some roadworks.
Anyway, I had a very much needed overnight in the fabulous Carlsbad Inn and ready to continue East the next morning, Sunday.
I was shocked to find the left front Cooper was FLAT! Fortunately, my former colleague/good friend Jerry had highly recommended a blue portable Kobalt compressor from Lowe’s, which I dug out of the back. It worked extremely well, as did my cellphone/Google maps in locating the closest tire repair: Wal-Mart, just 0.5miles/800 meters West. Knowing how close it was, I guesstimated there was no need to fill the tyre to my usual 40psi, and was able to slowly motor to the auto service side. I immediately queued up in the “tire” lane, where technician Oresto entered my vehicle into a service contract. It wasn’t long before my Ranger was up on the rack, tire removed.
Manager(and fellow Vet/member of the “Mens’ Department) Wayne caught me in the waiting area and explained that this nearly new Cooper had a fatal/unrepairable injury of a nailgun nail piercing the edge between the thick tread and the skinnier sidewall.
Oresto labored further, taking the rack off the hitch to lower the spare and replace the Coop, then reinstalling it. He made it look easy, but I know better, having done that nearly same activity way too many times! I only wish I had more $$ for his tip!
I don’t know about you, but (motor)vehicle tire repairs are quite challenging, especially if you are “aged out” like me. Nowadays, I’m more than happy to save what little muscle I have left and am willing to let the much younger/stronger versions of me do it!
Without a doubt, I was very fortunate that such good people like Oresto & Wayne at the nearby Wal-Mart were working this Sunday. Thank you, ¡¡y Muchas Gracias‼️They—and Wal-Mart—definitely have my coveted “iWheel of Approval!””

“If you need work done on you vehicle, this is definitely the place to go. Alex not only does great work but he is very pleasant and easy to work with as well. My jeep looks brand new and I can't say enough good things about this shop.”
