About Quality Inn & Suites Clayton, NM
Quality Inn & Suites Clayton is a pretty older hotel that does the job for a roadtrip stay. It is not fancy, but it is not a dump. The beds are very comfortable and the heating unit is perfect. Some rooms are spacious and it is a good pet friendly option. The front desk staff is often friendly, though one check-in experience was not good, with a staff member being rude and not accommodating. Cleanliness is inconsistent; while some rooms look clean, others are not the cleanest, with issues like unvacuumed floors, little rocks, leftover items, and even dry blood on a hair dryer cord. Amenities can be problematic; the pool, hot tub, and fitness center were out of order without website notice. Breakfast is a typical continental offering with a waffle machine. The hotel is on the airport road, which is not real convenient for all road travelers, but an Outback restaurant is within walking distance. Nearby activities include a small park, a dinosaur statue place, and a tiny state park. The parking lot is well lit, but the building's back door does not lock.

Nothing special, it’s a 2 star at best and clean. Don’t expect much as rooms are reasonable. No pool no sauna and no gym.
