All three of our party cannot believe anyone has given less than 5 stars for this cuisine. Cocktails, starters, entrees and desserts were all outstanding!

My wife and I stayed in the governors suite for our anniversary. The hotel and town is nice with a lot of interesting history. The only issue I had was with the restaurant. I wouldn't normally speak up on every day inconveniences (there are more important things in life), but this one has been eating away at me all night. As I mentioned, we're in the governors suite for our anniversary. We called to make a reservation at Rebecca's for 7pm. I spoke to a very pleasant young woman who helped us reserve a table at the back of the restaurant, in front of the fireplace. She was awesome and super excited to help make the evening special. When we arrived at about 6:50pm, there was an older couple at the hostess desk berating her and the restaurant manager for not letting them have a specific table they wanted. We stood patiently waiting for them to finish... But deep inside I had a feeling they were talking about our table--which we reserved. The restaurant manager apologized, offered them a free dessert, and told them he was new. He then caved and gave them the table. This couple was then escorted to the back of the restaurant and as I watched them walk away, I was just struck by how rude and entitled they were.We stepped forward to the hostess counter to check in, the manager took my name, looked down at his paper, and said "looks like we might have a problem".I said "you just gave them our table, didn't you"?Yes, he did. We were literally standing next to this couple as they were condescending to the staff and watched them take our table. The manager apologized and offered us another table. I told him we literally have no other options, what else can I do?Listen, I don't own that table, but I did reserve it. It's our anniversary. I'm trying my best not to let this get to me, but every detail of this day mattered to me. The fireplace was one of those details, and I wanted it to be special. The rude clientele and spineless manager was a disheartening addition to the evening.

Wow, everything has upscaled at Rebecca’s! We’ve been customers for 15+ years & new Chef Lepree has elevated the dining experience. We have known Chef Lepree from Leprees in Cloudcroft Village and appreciate his “from scratch” dishes. His new dinner menu takes Rebecca’s to fine dining. Our party of 3 started with the Shrimp & Lobster Salad and a Winter Caprese served with yummy French bread rolls. They were both beautifully presented and delicious but we all voted the Shrimp & Lobster our favorite. Wanting to try multiple menus items we followed with the Roasted Salmon, Filet Mignon and the Fresh Hand Rolled Gnocchi. The fish and steak were perfectly cooked and the sides elevated with unique herbal and vegetable flavors. The Gnocchi was a wonderful vegetarian dish with a little fresh crunch from the zucchini squash. It was creamy but not overdone with heavy sauces. We concluded our experience with their Strawberry Mille Feuille, a puff pastry with cream filling and strawberries. It had “just right” light and fresh creaminess, pastry and sweetness. We will definitely order these menu items again but are also looking forward to trying the grilled pork chop and the steamed lemon pudding. The restaurant staff were attentive and our waitress Hannah ( hope that’s right) took perfect care of our table.

Long wait times for food, almost 3 hours depending on your orders. New chef, new menu, bad wait times, decent service, beautiful place.

Horrible experience! Our food came out completely burnt, charred! All 4 plates were completely inedible. I do not recommend unless you want to pay for an expensive burnt meal.

Amazing, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Staff is super friendly, inviting, and attentive. The dinner food was divine. The bartender Richard is outstanding. He makes superb drinks and will give some great fun facts about the bar and hotel. Hands down a great experience and will come back.

The food at Rebecca’s was absolutely delicious! We had old fashions at the bar which were delicious and the bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable about the various types of whiskeys they have. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, a little old school “fancy”.100% would eat there again! the orzo Florentine was delicious and it’s a huge serving.Vegetarian options: Orzo Florentine and a Vegan Garden Bowl, You can sub a Black Bean Burger ( which I did and it was very good), good salads as well.

Had a lovely dinner by the chimney at Rebecca's Restaurant located inside The Lodge. After paying, I inadvertently left my VISA at the table. Thankful the waitress turned it in to The Lodge staff and l was able to get it the following morning. Grateful for the waitress' trustworthiness. That made my day and just because of their staff's honesty, l would definitely go back to this restaurant.

We paid $60 per plate with reservations for downstairs by a window dining experience for Thanksgiving dinner. Apparently, this was Rebecca's first attempt at a holiday service on this scale. The menu was excellent, the servers were smiling, efficient, and accommodating. The buffet line moved well, and selections were repla ced quickly when low or empty. Food temperatures were on the low end, not hot- fresh out of the oven, but not cold- straight from the fridge either. Everything was tepid. The matre'd should have been sent home 25 years earlier. She was an unpleasant woman offering only two options at the historic Lodge. Take it or leave it.The upstairs dining room was well lit but unadorned, with no holiday decor for the walls or tablesThe tables seemed hurriedly plopped in place with chairs and tablecloths for an unexpected over-capacity crowd.I won't be back for another holiday meal.Reservations mean nothing. The meal was OK, but for the money I spent, I should have had 25 pounds of leftovers or a much better experience. I got neither. We only hauled my elderly mother upstairs to dine once. She had to wait near the buffet while the rest of us were shown our table. We assembled our plates and made our way up to the table. There was no elevator to make the trip easier for mom.Parking was plentiful, but on this night, you might need to hunt for a spot. The lot was full. Fortunately, diners were regularly vacating.

Hotel management allowed there to be only one waitress for the whole restaurant. We waited an hour and a half before we saw our food. The hostess continued to seat more people even when the waitress was at capacity. This is poor management of the hotel. The waitress was awesome and did her very best to serve everyone. The hostess was helpful and kind. I hope this was a one off occurrence.
