I went in for gecko food, and the worms they have are big, active, and from my Leopard Gecko Ghillie's reaction, quite yummy.The prices are comparable to big chain stores, and unlike those stores, the bugs are all actually alive.They also have a lot of really cool animals in there. I'd never actually seen a new caledonian lizard, and they have other cool things as well.Grade A service and merch.

Las CrucesI cannot speak highly enough of Kim. The service she offers is invaluable to a devoted pet owner. She was kind and gentle, and helped me say goodbye to Izzi, my companion dog of 17 years. It was indeed a gift for Izzi's last moments to be at home, where she felt safe with me, instead of driving to the vets office where she would be afraid. It's been a few years now and I've have a new girl, not so young anymore. When the time comes, it will be Kim that I turn to.

Our youngest was adopted during COVID-19 and didn't get much socialization with anyone except his siblings. We saw steady, slow progress with each day and his interaction and obedience continue to improve. His older brother, Seamus, needs different attention and a slower, gentler approach and the staff interacts with him in a way that brings out the best in him too! They look forward to going and I look forward to getting their pictures with playgroup friends and the progress report cards every day. We've also used the boarding services and the same care is shown to them when they need to be away from us. We previously visited local facilities and while nothing was wrong with any of the other services, YPS fit our needs. The dogs love the staff and are excited to see them. Many are NMSU students studying in the animal sciences and love to see how they get hands-on work with our four-legged family. Thanks to the whole team at YPS!

My dog had a very strict medication schedule and Marilyn respected that and took the time to learn what each medication was and how to administer them. She is a very pleasant person to be around and you can tell she cares deeply for the animals she comes into contact with. She is also a very talented groomer! I will always recommend this location to anyone looking to groom and/or board their dog.

Four Paws and a Wake Up

If you are interested in your animal becoming a service animal, I highly recommend them. Our Doberman Luda completed training last year, and has been such an asset to our family. My husband is a disabled veteran with several medical issues as well as psychological trauma from his service. Rick tailored our program to specifically work for my husband. Down the road, if we need Luda to perform additional tasks, we know that we can reach back out to Four Paws for additional training. All around just a wonderful training experience.

I ordered a pint of their salsa to-go, the one that comes out with the chips . The staff were very friendly and polite. Definitely recommend to visitors if wanting a local hole-in-the-wall taste. The local cars never stopped driving thru their drive-thru the whole time we sat there.

Although, I didn’t like the green one as I’m not a big fan of tomatillos but the “avocado” salsa (not sure if it’s made with avocado or not) was wonderful. I ordered 2 asada, 1 barbacoa and 1 tripitas tacos. I like that you can order a variety of tacos in the order. My husband loved his tripitas tacos too and he said the limonada was excellent. Service was excellent and our server was very polite. We really hope this local restaurant keeps going because it can potentially become one of our favorites. I want to go back to try the lengua tacos since they were all out today. Highly recommend it!!!! ??
