Casa Grande Trading Post, Petting Zoo and Cerrillos Mining Museum is a unique and charming stop along the Turquoise Trail. This 28-room adobe building houses a gift shop filled with handmade sterling silver jewelry, rare Cerrillos turquoise, rocks, minerals, antique bottles, insulators, and barbed wire. While the shop does not allow dogs and lacks restrooms, it offers a fun and old-school experience, with a wide variety of vintage-style souvenirs, old knickknacks, and local curiosities. The small museum in the back adds a nostalgic touch, and the whole place has a quirky, roadside Americana vibe. Visitors can explore a collection of historical artifacts and enjoy the charm of the historic mining town where notable movies have been filmed. Despite some higher tourist-oriented prices, the Casa Grande Trading Post is a highlight for many, offering a one-of-a-kind experience with its beautiful souvenirs and jewelry.
