“Unique outdoor art exhibit. The person working with their chainsaw off into the distance as we roamed the exhibit gave it a higher level of excitement that I'm sure wasn't intended. But we loved it nonetheless and the friendly farm dogs.”

“We didn't go into the museum or petting zoo, though I saw both. It was a decent stop with LOTS of interesting rocks and jewelry pieces for sale. I only removed 1 star because the prices were definitely aimed at tourists - you can find the same types of things cheaper elsewhere. But it does make for a nice stop on the longer scenic route between Albuquerque and Santa Fe.”

“The owner, Riana, is an extremely talented (and super sweet) artisan. She mines her very own turquoise and hand-crafts beautiful jewelry and other creations as well. She's the first gallery on the right as you enter Madrid's main drag (right before the general store). Need to check her out! Unfortunately, didn't get any photos of jewelry or gallery but did capture this awesome inlaid turquoise sea shell.”

“I am so happy I found this gem of a store. First off if you’re near Santa Fe/Albuquerque you must go to this town and this store and spend your money that directly supports small businesses in remote areas... the items in this store are unique, beautiful, affordable, and many of the turquoise jewelry are authenticated! I implore you to go here and get your jewelry and other items because your money is more precious here than in the bigger shopping areas... plus the owner is absolutely delightful.. full of knowledge about her products and yeah just go and you’ll understand!!”

“Ruth Aber, proprietor and owner of Mostly Madrid (MM) is as knowledgeable as they come about Native American art and local art. Her store is a living example of her knowledge filled with an eclectic array of jewelry, art, clothing, local creations and hidden gems. I have known Ruth and shopped in MM for almost 30 years. I always find something I can't live without! If you're in Madrid, this is a must. (And pick up some of Harvey's chocolate next door at Shugarman's Little Chocolate Shoppe)”
