The fact that Alpine Lumber is also employee-owned makes it a 1-in-a-thousand business.Alpine is a bit more expensive on some items than other outlets, however their breadth of products and exhaustive offerings in every hardware store category makes it the place you know you will find what you need.I have had 12 window screens made here so far and have 3 more to go. Excellent work and faster than I could ever expect. And at an incredible price for each screen. I also needed a specific drill bit that would go through a 12" wood wall and Alpine had 3 or 4 different sizes to fit the job.Architecturally, Alpine Lumber's building belongs in the museum-like category. I can't explain more than to say that it is again, a one-of-a-kind building for a one-of-a-kind business.”

My latest experience with Chris in their paint department.....this guy is AMAZING. I had purchased two cans of paint. The color on one was way off (not their fault) but he corrected it close enough so that I can use it as primer for the correct color he made. I didn't have to waste any paint, nor buy more primer.
