“We just stayed at the Sitzmark Chalet in Ruidoso and were genuinely impressed—especially for the price. The pictures online don’t do this place justice at all. We stayed in the double queen suite, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly with fresh cookies, hot chocolate, and coffee. The charm and decor throughout the property are unmatched—this hotel feels like a cozy mountain lodge, not a generic stay.
Our room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. We had everything we needed: Roku TV, an electric fireplace, wine glasses, and even a corkscrew! We’ve stayed in so many hotels where we’ve had to beg for a corkscrew—so this was a huge plus.
The old-school room keys were such a fun and nostalgic touch, and the whole vibe made our weekend feel special and relaxed.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be booking here again! Highly recommend the Sitzmark Chalet if you’re heading to Ruidoso.”

“Stayed 6 people in a nice 2-bedroom cabin. Quiet location with surrounding cabins all having festive night-lighting in the forest trees. Only difficult point was that the office was like half a mile away, and since I didn't make the reservation, I didn't know where to go to check in.Walkability: Nice mountain neighbourhood to walk around”
“I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Ruidosa New Mexico, and had a great experience! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. Rose at the front desk was absolutely amazing—so friendly and welcoming. Gina in the breakfast area was super sweet and helpful, making sure everything was perfect. Excellent stay overall!”

“DISGUSTING!!ants in the coffee pot, smells old and musty, seriously didn't even want to sit on the couches. The bed skirt had a red stain on it. The oven door was broken (wouldn't close) the stove top didn't click to light needed to be lit with a lighter.There was a dirty sock left in one of the rooms by the bed.Also the noise from the road is loud.PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND STAY ANYWHERE ELSE”
