“I was having issues accessing my account after it was hacked and it was very difficult to reset my password which would somehow not work. I went another bank and I spent over an hour being helped to reset my password but had no luck. I was on my way home and stopped by pike street WaFd just to see if they could maybe help and I didn’t spend more than 20 minutes there; they helped me so quickly and knew exactly what they were doing. I am 100% coming back here again.”

“This review is for the brunch located at 1790 St Michaels Dr., Santa Fe, NM 87505. I am a Treasurer and a manager of the HOA business account there. I have been dealing with this bank employees for over a year, and can only say positive things about my interactions with them. I particularly would like to acknowledge the brunch manager Joel Baca, who recently gave me an excellent advise on transitioning our reserve account into a different account type with a much higher interest rate. Also, I would like to mention Janelle, who is always helpful and who always patiently guides me through their banking process. Today, I had experience with yet another wonderful employee, Sarah Hurtado. I came on a Saturday at 11:15 AM to get a real estate deed signed and notarized. Having almost completed the process, she noticed a discrepancy. Turned out that I brought an incomplete version of the document. Although it was only minutes before the bank closing, Sarah patiently waited until I was able to find and email to her the correct version, she printed it out, and I was able to complete it and get my signature notarized.”

“The branch on Paseo de Peralta is great; friendly and helpful. They know my name, and have fixed any issues I’ve ever had quickly. The branch on St. Michael’s is usually gut wrenching. Once I went the drive through 5 minutes before they closed. I sat in my car waiting for help, they were watching me and then they closed. This is just one example, I have a handful of bad experiences at this branch. Best case scenario there is complete mediocrity. Go to Paseo if you need customer service.”

I have lived all over the country and the best thing that I can say about any of my banks is that some were good enough that I didn't dislike them. So I surprised even myself when I found myself feeling so strongly about NMBT. Any small business owner knows that it is hard to be taken seriously at banks. Not so at NMBT. They understand that a business owner's income documentation is different than that of a W-2 employee and they have worked really hard to help us succeed. Over the past 3 years, we have been through the home mortgage, HELOC, commercial mortgage, and SBA loan process with them, and THEY ARE AMAZING. They know what they are doing; they care about you and your family; and they manage the banking regulation bureaucracy with professionalism and efficiency. Work with them and they will work with you.”
