“Go to Santa Fe Arts, Inc if you want to find beautiful, authentic southwest jewelry and art at a competitive price from an honest, reputable and knowledgeable dealer. An added bonus is that The Shed, a classic, James Beard Award-winning restaurant shares a courtyard with this gallery. I shopped at Santa Fe Arts (& Kokopelli Gallery) back in the 70's when I lived in the area and return whenever I visit from my current home in Seattle. I recently needed jewelry for a particular dress, and was shown several appropriate choices. I selected a lovely buffalo turquoise bracelet and similar earrings. Unfortunately, I later bent the bracelet, popping out & losing a stone. I mailed it to SF Arts and they repaired it perfectly, returning it in a timely fashion. I love this store and look forward to returning.”

“99% of any store’s positive rating comes down to customer experience. I can’t speak highly enough about Frank and his team for welcoming me with open hearts when I stopped by their store after a long, somewhat arduous journey from Rhode Island to Santa Fe — in a Sportsmobile, with three dogs and a husband. (It’ll be over 35 travel days by the time we finally make it home to SLC… so yes, SLC to RI and back will take us 35 days…and hopefully no more!) They were the first truly warm smiles and open hearts I’d encountered since North Carolina. Now, I didn’t pick Array on purpose — I picked it because we could park our rig out front, their doors were open, and I desperately needed help figuring out how accessible Santa Fe would be in a van towing a trailer. (Answer: not very.) They told us to park right where we were and suggested grabbing lunch at Cowgirl Café across the street. After lunch, of course, I had to go explore their wares. I love these carefully honed shops, and this one is beautifully curated — it engages every sense: the scents, the snacks, the beautifully crafted pine bowls. If you’re anywhere near Array, stop in — if for no other reason than to be greeted with a friendly smile and a feeling of home, especially if you’ve been far from it for a while”

“An authentic Native American cultural center for the Tewa. The center highlights Native American pottery specific to the pueblos in the immediate vicinity. They were able to secure an agreement with the Smithsonian in order to display 100 ancestral pots which were made here and have now returned home. There is also a history of the people who lived here for millenia, and shows what has happened over time. The gift shop in the cultural center is a wonderful way to purchase goods made by the community and for the monies to go right to the community. I found the staff very welcoming and I met a gentleman who was kind enough to spend time explaining the purpose of the center, and how it helps educate the surrounding communities about the local culture and traditions. There is a tower gallery which was closed when I visited on a Tuesday. However there are beautiful sculptures and fountains on the grounds and worth walking around.”

“We loved our three house dining experience this past weekend for a girls trip. Stephen was the absolute best and took great care of us. Drinks were great, food was delicious and we ended up sitting outside for over three hours enjoying the atmosphere and company. We shared the chicken enchiladas, dumplings, Martha's pasta (lights out!), carne asada tacos, and lemon olive oil cake. Can't wait to go back! Perfect last meal before heading home.”

They also offer lovely ceramic dishes and trivets that are made in Santa Fe, NM. There are many stores demanding tourists’ attention around the Plaza area, but this one is a true icon and great stop for visitors and locals alike.”

“I loved the nice woman at this store. My husband and I decided on our way home we needed to stop and buy a talavera tiled Hispanic mirror for our bathroom. We remembered seeing them at this store and we went back to buy one! We bought a beautiful mirror for a very fair price, some outlet covers, and a sticker. The woman wrapped everything in newspaper for our long drive home. She even walked the mirror out to the car, how nice! I loved this store and can’t wait to go back!”

“I arrived in Santa Fe on a mission: to enjoy my 31st wedding anniversary with my husband and to find my dream handmade Navajo Pearl necklace. Thanks to Sunwest on the Plaza I accomplished both! Anyone who has been to NM knows that there are endless possibilities for satisfying one's desire for exquisite Native American jewelry. I did my research prior to our trip, and honestly did not expect to find what I was looking for at any of the shops on the Plaza, thinking that they would all be overpriced. To my surprise, I found MY necklace at Sunwest! I can't speak for their souvenirs, since we did not spend time shopping on that side of the store. But I can tell you that their jewelry selection is is incredible. Everywhere I turned, I saw something that made me go WOW! But I stayed focused on finding my necklace and could not be more pleased. The staff was attentive without being pushy. Without my asking, I was told about the maker of my piece and given a biography of the artist's family. The merchandise as well displayed. Compared to other stores we entered on the Plaza (as well as those we visited in Albuquerque), the prices were competitive to reasonable. I highly recommend Sunwest on the Plaza and will be sure to go back if I'm ever in Santa Fe.”
