I was so nervous, but Lydia saw me outside struggling and she came right out so calm and helped me get Finn inside. When I picked him up, he was happy and calm. They did an amazing job on deshedding him and nails! He looks amazing. Cannot thank you guys enough!

41 NM-522, TaosTed Schubach has been my vet for over 40 years. He is awesome and always has been there for our many pets over the years. The pandemic has changed the face of veterinary care in Taos. Many people moved to Taos with pets, overloading the already busy clinics in town. We only have 2 vet clinics for all of Taos County. Last year we had a dog emergency and rushed to Taos Vet only to find they were closed for lunch! So we rushed to Salazar Vet and received care only to return to Taos Vet after the crisis had subsided. When Dr Schubach was not overwhelmed by the shear need in Taos...he would make house calls to care for dying pets. In the last year we needed our elder chihuahua put down and he graciously came out to our car to euthanize our Venny in our arms. These are not cold heartless people...they are overworked and overwhelmed. They have compassion and heart and I am sorry that anyone may feel different. They can only see so many patients in a day. They only have 2 doctors. People have forgotten what Covid did to our healthcare system.

The coffee isn't quite as good since the new ownership took over, and I really miss the fun seasonal drink menus the previous owners offered. But overall, one of the most consistently good and unpretentious coffee spots in Taos.

As a matter of fact, we ordered a pint of the red sauce to take home as well as chips and salsa. Sadie was an absolute sweetheart and an amazing server.

Gutiz Cafe is one of those places you don’t just stumble into—you remember it and come back. Even Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives made a stop here, and now I know why.
Everything about the experience was excellent. The place is clean, quiet, and actually set up so you can have a conversation without shouting over noise (which is rare these days). The service was friendly and genuine—no fake smiles, just people who seem to enjoy what they’re doing.
Now let’s talk about the food… the sandwiches were AMAZING. Not “pretty good,” not “I’d eat it again”—I mean the kind that makes you stop mid-bite and look at the person across the table like, “You’ve got to try this.”
And the coffee? Strong, smooth, and exactly what you want with a great meal.
This is a “go out of your way” kind of place. If you’re anywhere near Taos, do yourself a favor—visit this place.

Manzanita Market
103 N Plaza, TaosLocated in the Taos Plaza area, Manzanita Market was a great spot to grab some breakfast and coffee. Service was incredible by both the lady at the counter and also the gentleman bringing plates out and asking tables if they needed anything. I got the huevos rancheros and my partner and I split the blueberry blue corn pancakes, very sold options if you don't know what to order! Lattes were delicious and I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Taos. It's also by the shops so you can walk off your food easily afterwards by checking out all the sights! This spot also takes debit/credit cards which is great- their sister restaurant Love Apple is cash only (where we also ate) which is a pretty big disappointment for me especially with it being a fine dining establishment. Thanks Manzanita Market for being a great place to eat at!

We've been coming to Taos for nearly 30 years to get away from the hustle of city life. The people, the food and the views are second to none as far as we're concerned.
I remember when Mary Jane's moved around town, here and there. We had to know where it was because missing out on a breakfast burrito was not an option for any visit to Taos. It's the best and now that they've been parked in one spot for many years they're easy to find!
Mary Jane's is not to be missed!
