“The good: The room was larger than I expected. The staff was friendly. The room had nice appliances in it (fridge and microwave). It had a nice tall/ergonomic toilet. The TV was nice, but the satellite service from DirectTV was awful and kept cutting out. There was breakfast available.The not-so-good: the wi-fi kept cutting in and out. This is personal preference, but I thought the beds were too soft, though I tend to like firm mattresses. The breakfast was pretty limited.I went in November, so the pool and everything was closed for the season.In short: the room was decently large, and surprisingly functional. There wasn't a lot of glamour, but everything did its job very well and as you would expect. They are also incredibly convenient for the Guadalupe Mountains and Carlsbad National Parks. For a 1-star hotel in a small town where it was the only option, this was quite nice.”
